|Dixie Home Georgia||Georgia Heritage|
Just wanted to say, God Bless You Lady!, for what You are doing. It is so very important for us Georgians to make these Memorials of Our Beloved Confederacy., since the politically correct Folks have tried for 150 Years to sweep the Truth, under the Rug.
I am a Grand Daughter of almost a Dozen Revolutionary War Soldiers, Several War of 1812, and believe it or not, SEVEN Confederate Grand Fathers. (I recently found Two more), was FIVE.
I Salute YOU, Dear Lady. Cindy from West Georgia.
p.s. You made a Memorial of an Awesome Confederate Soldier, M.A. Marshall, that is how I found You.

Flo-would you put your picture of Joseph Russell Sauls on his wife Mildred Pridgeon? I did not realize until today that I did not put her on.
Someone claims to be from this couple. (And they had no children in 1820,30,40 census except nephew and niece.

Did you ever get any response from Susana Branon about Sharon Church. She made a world of errors and has not changed any. Reckon she is inactive.

|Gerry Hill||RE: Martin's|
I have never had anyone ask me- and it does not bother me one bit-but that's the rules here, so I try to comply. But do you know where Thomas Young Martin 1842-Spartenburg SC-1892 Dawson, Terrell, Ga son of Wm, Robert,Th Saml, Jesse Maude,George Bertram,Clem Hayes-is buried- that was my other question. I gave you the cemetery on the others-on note. Can't remember now. Thanks. (Thomas Grave picture-that I mentioned only has a smeared area for name-and does not look like the others-great pictures- is why I had ask if it was yours, and you knew.) Thanks again. (It is Thomas Young Martin I need to find)

For, I note you posted a lot of the Randolph Martin's. Are they by any chance kin?
I am working on them today. In particular the faily of Thomas Young Martin who married
Johanna Aycock (Georgianna?) and someone posted his grave picture, but I can not find him. (They may actually have had an original! The same guy used yours on George Bertran Martin- and does not say he ask permission. I want to ask permission to use that one-and others I find on this family. Thanks, Gerry

|Ruth Culton Taylor||Re IV Duke|
Greenwood Cemetery, Culbert, Randolph County, GA.
According to the typed information on the 1936 Headstone application to the War Department; I V Duke is Isaac Virgil Duke born 23 Mar 1849 and died 30 Sep 1900. Someone crossed out the name and wrote I.V. and the 30th was crossed out and 29 was written.
The application was signed by a Louella D Burton and above is written Mrs C J Burton.
I have a copy of this. Do not know if Mrs Burton is kin or not to IV Duke but there are several Luella's (of various spellings)in the Duke line.
This is D-I-L's line.

He now has two parents!
Flo, I am on findagrave on facebook, and you would be suprised at what they are "kicking off" folks who contribute for now. (Not following rules I did not even know esisted-guess I don't get on the rules part often enough.) So I try very hard to stick to them. I found one the other day that had been on even longer than me- it just said "suspended".

Someone has set up a Hawk Cemetery around Shellman and placed memorials there. I have never heard of one and have sent message to her or him. She has taken excerpts from history book but none indicate where they are buried. Do you know where it is located?

|Payne Broome||Joe Payne Merritt|
Hello Flo -
Thank you so much for posting this. I'm Payne Broome, son of Tommy Broome.
I was named after Payne Merritt, and while I have some memories from being little, I don't think that I have ever seen the pictures of Uncle Payne when he was young or any picture of Aunt Voncile from that time as well.
Again, thank you so much for posting to this page. Sometimes there are those of us searching for information about our families and our past and this was a wonderful find.
