Why didn't you list his children? Unless it was out of respect to them & that I completely understand.

Ken & Sylvia Harmon
relative of Daniel Franklin Rackley
My wife is the great granddaughter of Daniel Franklin Rackley (1847-1920) & I was curious to know how far back you have traced the Rackley's?

RE: Marilyn Alcorn Griffin
Thanks for the clarification on Marilyn's location. I'd like to chat a bit on what you may know of the Conrad's family line, particularly if you know the burial location of his parents. You can contact me at lostinthewoods11@gmail.com. Happy graving!

Marilyn has two headstones in two cemeteries in two different states. Where is she actually buried? The other one should be tagged as a cenotaph. (See FAQ on Find A Grave). I am a cousin of her husband Conrad Griffin. Thanks in advance.

RE: Marilyn Alcorn Griffin
Oddly, my grandparents have that same situation. During the depression he got paid for a job with 2 plots & headstones in a cemetery, & then decided to be buried elsewhere.

When you look at Conrad Sam Griffin's memorial 32973783, it just has both links to same woman.

Thanks for the explanation.
Regards,
Meredith

You seem to have a duplicate of this memorial. One should be deleted.

I was at Ritter Cemetery in Ava, MO, this past week and found the tombstone for James P. Stockton just directly behind the stone for Jesse Jasper McLain (his brother-in-law that he shot and killed.) If you have not heard this story you can find it on the memorial page for Jesse McLain-Find A Grave Memorial# 38006496. On the cemetery photo of Jesse's tombstone, you can see James' tombstone directly behind in the background. I have checked James' tombstone inscription out with civil war pension applications for James by his wife Rachel: 15th Reg., Missouri Cavalry, Company: I-Matches the inscription on James' tombstone. I was wondering if you know for positive that James was buried in Stockton Cemetery as he died in Ava, MO, Sept. 5, 1876, the day after Jesse McLain died. James was shot and killed my his nephew, Jesse's son, who was a member of the posse that chased him down. Someone else has put a duplicate memorial page up for J. P. Stocton, Find A Grave Memorial# 60362456, in Ritter Cemetery. This is the one I found the other day. Please let me know what you think? If you would like to talk to me on my email, my address is mfallwell@yahoo.com. Thanks.

Thank you so very much for transferring the memorial pages of Daniel Morgan Stockton & Sarah Goodnight McGowan Stockton, my Great Great Grandparents. You are such a dear to do this and I don't believe I even asked! You are truly a blessing. I love Find A Grave and have been working every day for the past couple of months trying to find, add photos & bios, and connect family members. I just completed the bio and adding photos to my GG Grandfather Daniel and will work on a bio for my GG Grandmother, Sarah, real soon. I love the stories & photos. I wish I had a pic of Daniel to share, as I do have a photo of Sarah. God bless you for who you are and for your contributions and kindness others.

John Walker
Hi everyone,

I am a gr-gr grandaughter of John Walker and was the force behind the new stone for him. Our Walker reunion sold raffle tickets on quilts and a little of everything trying to raise money for the stone. It has been knocked off of the base I know twice and may be again I haven't been over to cemetery for awhile.

My Gr grandpa was his son David. I have some information and would love to have anything of the family that anyone wants to share and if I can help anyone I will.

Hi cousin!
You never know who you may meet through the internet. I do a lot of research on my family tree, and I ran across the information that you and Kathy have posted on this site. It has helped me fill in quite a bit about your branch of the family.

You and I are fourth cousins, up through your dad then Burley Alcorn, then his mom Mary Ellen Rogers, then her mom Rebecca Jane (Becky) Hall. Becky's father, Isaac Jude Hall, is my third great grandfather, and my line comes down through his son James Wesley Hall.

I would love to share information with you if you would like to. In either case, it's always nice to meet cousins!

Elizabeth
Rachel Hart
Rachel's parents are D.R. Brown (I only found initals for him) and Sarah Davis, both born in Tennessee.

I have linked Rena to her mother, Rachel. My daughter and I will be in the Ava area in a couple of weeks and will go to Fannon Cemetery and take photos. If we can locate Rachel and Rena we will add them. I am related to William Henry Huffman, Rene's husband. He was my great aunt's son.

I hope this helps, Elizabeth.
