|Barry Michie||Henrietta Nissen Hass|
Not only did I put in links to John Andrew Hass's parents in Wyuka but also some auto-edits for Henrietta Nissens birth/death places. I had researched her earlier and the autoedits correspond for her birth place, Oevenum, on the Island of Fohr.

|Barry Michie||RE: Hass / Nissen|
Thanks for the thanks.
It took a little while to figure out what your thanks referred to and it is: John Andrew Hass (s/o George C Haas & Henrietta Nikolena Nissen) who married: 1) Rhuey Elda Yeager ,2) Gertrude Zona Shatto, 3) Marie Louise Hermina Lingron. Right??
It took a while for me to figure out these three marriages and relationships. I had put up a Findagrave memorials for Andrew linking him to his three wives which is what you must be responding to.
I'm basically a Shatto family researcher which is how I got interested in this family.
Also, I'm originally from Santa Rosa and have quite a few kin buried in Santa Rosa.

I did a little looking in a list that I have for obits that are in the local newspaper on micro film. In the list for some reason she is listed as Maggie Williers. If you want I can give you the info as to were to get the obit. I am not sure if they charge for them looking up the obit for you or not, but if you are not in any hurry I can add it to my list of obits that I want to look up and the next time I go I will get it and add it to the memorial. Let me know if you want to try to get it or if you want me to get it and add it to the memorial.

I am looking at the book that I got the info from it clearly reads date of birth as 1860 and death as 4/28/1925. I guess the only real way of clearing this one up is to request a photo of the grave marker and hope there is on.

|Margie Hill||Betcher and Fitschen|
Just joined Find A Grave today so don't know my way around yet but the first name I looked up was Betcher and saw many names I recognized. My grandfather was Louis J.H. Betcher from Red Wing, MN. His brother was Wilhem (William) Betcher. We visited my grandparents every summer all through the 1950's til early 60's. We always went out to the family home in Hay Creek to visit my mom's (Louise Betcher Waller) aunts --Aunt Lizzie and Aunt Emma. They lived there with my mom's cousin Harold and wife Barbara and 3 or 4 children. I had been in contact with Barbara several years ago but lost touch about 7 years ago. I probably still have cousins there in Red Wing but have never been in touch.
Just wanted to thank you for the information on Find a Grave.

The Nissens are also distantly related to me.
Not sure but I would bet the are also 3rd and 4th cousins.

|Aaron C. Shaw||RE: Tiedemann family in Tofield|
For recent Tiedemann obits (in their entirety!) online, check out http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/remembering/obituary-search.aspx?daterange=99999&lastname=Tiedemann&countryid=2&stateid=1&affiliateid=all. For obits between 1950 and 1982, do a search on http://www.epl.ca/edmonton-obituaries - a good number of your folk are there. I just have to pull the microfilm at the library and print (which I am more than willing to do). For 1983-1992, I will need to check the hard-copy index at the library. For earlier than 1950, need the date of passing, otherwise "looking for a needle in a haystack" (therefore it won't be a problem checking the film reels for Hilda, Henry and Margaret).
I should have photos for most everyone at Tofield. Just make photo requests so I can track which ones I need to look for

Hi I found your requested headstones at Madonna Cemetery. There was also another headstone nearby for Bartholomew 1893-1967 and Ethel 1894-1989. I thought they might be connected to you. If you would also like a picture of this headstone I would be happy to fulfill your request.

|Lucille Bertram||RE: Westervelt|
She is buried there but there is no stone in the plot with the other Westervelts. The cemetery checks the records first by death year and she matched. You can verify the burial place with the death certificate.

|NGL||RE: Sims family|
The source I found was ALABAMA DEATH RECORDS showing James A. Sims 1878-1949 as a son of Andrew Sims. Do you think another Andrew was a generation back and then James A. named his own son, Andrew Jefferson Sims, born 1915? Sorry I am not related - I researched and compiled the cemetery book. Let me know if these facts are inaccurate. Thanks a bunch!
