I started researching my family's history about ten years ago. My interest was again sparked after meeting relatives for the first time during Memorial Day Weekend in May 2008. My family includes the names of Holt, Harrison, Richards, Ballard, Rains, Billingsley, Hughes, Samford, Mays, Gary, and Whitaker on my father's side. My mother's side includes the names of Moseley, McDonald, Taylor, Eddins, Anderson, English, and McFaddin. Most of my identified family has had a connection with Shelby County, Texas.
