RE: Nelda Lavendar
There was not a marker with "Bill" on it; however, next to Nelda's was a "Willis Lavender" and I posted a picture of this marker, also.

Levi Sterling Goen
Hello Amy, I am descended from Levi's daughter Florence Ann Goen, are you as well? Or are you from William Anderson Goen? I wish I did have any information on either Levi or Sarah Jane Glossup, but alas, I don't know much at all, you just may know much more than myself!! LOL!! I'd love to hear from you!!! By the way do you happen to know if he is actually buried as listed in Texas? I heard somewhere that he may be there but no stone marker, or he may not even be there at all? Confusing huh!? Just contact me back! :D

Hi Amy,

My GGreat Grandfather was William Anderson Goen.

My Grandfather was Everett Lonnie Goen.
If you would like any other information please e-mail me at

Kiersty Pringle
Levi Goen (Hawly Cemetery)
I spoke with the cemetary records keeper and he didn't find any record of a Levi Goen being buried in Hawley Cemetery. Could it be under another name? Possibly a full name? There is no recors of any Goen's being buried out there at all.
If you could do some checking and get back with me, I can go look again. I'll need more info tho. Maybe this was a nickname, or an assumed name? I'm going out there tomorrow.

Mimi Simpson Davidson
Grove Hill Memorial Park
Please call them at 214-381-7118 and get a location of the grave site for Cora Bragg and I will gladly go and photograph her tombstone. They are short handed and will not look up the information for anyone other than a relative. I did this for someone else looking and I got the photo that week. Email me with the plot and I will go look and get a photo. Thanks

Marvin and Carrie Long
Ellis Stephens
Hi Amy,
I just wanted to let you know that I went to Brenton Cemetery and could not find Ellis Stephens. I will return to look another day during the daylight hours. Are you sure it's in this cemetery? There is another one in Piper City I was just curious. I'll try again.

RE: Cooks Family
Amy: I have not looked to deeply into the Cook family but I know that their are a lot of them buried in the Old Bethel Cemetery just out side of Frankston. There is a Daniel Cook and Elizabeth Cook (Willingham) buried in the Cemetery. Marker states that Elizabeth is buried in the Pyron Cemetery in Scurry County. She married Daniel in 1846 and he died in 1881 and she married Rev. Benjamin Young in 1890. That is proably why she is buried in the Pyron Cemetery. She is actually not buried in the Old Bethel Cem. just a note on Daniels gravestone about her burial site. Daniels name on the gravestone is Daniel Raymond Cook 10-16-1821 to 9-2-1881. Elizabeth states 7-3-1829 to 3-16-1903. Amy it is proably easier to communicate thry my e-mail address as I do not look at the findagrave messages very often.

I'd be glad to transfer ownership. So how do I do it? Should I just delete the information I entered?

This is what you sent. That should do it. The transfers have been made.

"I am linked to the Cooks by this. John & Mary Cook are my GGGG Grandparents. This is the connection: Daniel & Elizabeth Cook, John & Mary Cook, Bradford & Isalinda Cook, Cora Cook & Henry Bragg, Jewell Bragg & George Renner, Evalyn Renner & Billy Goen, Marlin & Mary lou Goen, & Amy Goen Stephens (Me). There is the line up Daniel would be the GGGGG Grandfather to me. Is that enough info of relationship for you."

You requested a transfer of a John Willingham Cook to your acc't. So far I have found 2 John W. Cooks and one J.W. cook but none with the mem. number you mentioned. Will be happy to help if you could send me the birth and death dates and the cemetery he is in.
Thanks CAE

Earle's Chapel Cemetery
Amy, I will attempt to fulfull your request. It might be a few days as I am on overload right this minute (I am now my grandson's afternoon caretaker).

I'm hoping to go back to Earle's Chapel and add tombstone information added since 2004 as well as take more photos. I live two hours away so it's not something I can do just any time I want, but I'll get to it soon, I hope.
