Thanks for the info
Yes, I know they have messed around with many of the old El stop names. I also think the house my GPs lived in is gone. They were at 4846 Mulberry St until about 1974. That was an empty lot on Google Earth when we checked last fall. From Mulberry St it was an easy walk to the El and to shopping on Frankford Ave. My GF never learned to drive. And Nana (my GM) only learned when she was in her 60s. It was also within walking distance of Cedar Hill (including the East section), North Cedar Hill and Oakland cemeteries. I have family buried in all of them. Also in Mt Carmel, the Jewish cemetery that was recently vandalized. That cemetery is adjacent to the Cedar Hill ones.

Warren E Blatchley @ Magnolia
Hi - Thanks for your suggested edit to this memorial. In doing some quick research, I came across this information:

Warren Earl Blatchley
United States World War II Draft Registration Cards, 1942
Name Warren Earl Blatchley
Event Type Draft Registration
Event Date 1942
Event Place Philadelphia, , Pennsylvania, United States
Residence Place Philadelphia, , Pennsylvania
Gender Male
Employer Warren Earl/Blatchley
Birth Date 14 Sep 1895

Warren E Blatchley
United States Census, 1900
Name Warren E Blatchley
Event Type Census
Event Year 1900
Event Place Philadelphia city Ward 23, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Gender Male
Age 5
Marital Status Single
Race White
Race (Original) W
Relationship to Head of Household Son
Relationship to Head of Household (Original) Son
Birth Date Sep 1895
Birthplace Pennsylvania
Father's Birthplace Pennsylvania
Mother's Birthplace Germany

So there seem to be some variability as to the year of birth across sources. Can you tell me what your source was for suggesting the change to 1893 from the 1892 that's engraved on the headstone? Thanks much!

Blatchleys in East Cedar Hill
I have recently recd the cemetery file card for the sister of my GG GM buried in East Cedar Hill. In addition to her and her children there is a couple - William and Elizabeth Blatchley - buried in the same plot. No idea who they are or if they are related to Elizabeth Dyer Agnew, my relative. I see you have created memorials for some Blatchleys in Phila cemeteries. Any thoughts? I am not a genealogist and I don't live in the Phila area, so if I create Find A Grave memorials for these 2 people they will be limited to what is on the file card.
BTW, love your screen name of Margaret Orthodox. That's the El stop I used to get off at when going to visit my grandparents on Mulberry St. years ago.

Elmer Yeatts edit
Thank you for edit suggesting Elmer's parents. I have linked him to father Amos, but am denying Mary as mother as she died in 1864, while Elmer wasn't born until 1868.

RE: Robert W Forsyth
Margaret, thank you so much for acknowledging the photo and the very interesting story of what occurred. I'm still smiling at the story. You certainly made my day with that.

It just so happened that I was at the cemetery doing requests yesterday. Your request was not on the list that I had printed out, but I have the Find A Grave app on my phone and always check it right before I leave to see if any new requests have been entered and yours was there so I full filled it.

I think Indiantown Gap Cemetery is beautiful and honors our veterans with respect and dignity. I enjoy going there to do photos.

P.S: If you select Begin New Search under Actions menu on left side and then enter the memorial number in the MEMORIAL: box, you will also find her entry.

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 63225654
Sure. Her name was Catherine Barbara Hymon Klotzbucher. Her husband is buried at Greenmont Cemetery and based on gravestone picture, looks like they share the same stone? If so, then how can she buried at a different cemetery (per your entry)? Please review and if I'm correct, transfer her memorial to Greenmont Cemetery please? Thanks.

Find A Grave Memorial# 63225654
Based on cemetery stone attached here, looks like her record should be with Greenmount Cemetery and not Lawnview?

Can you please review and if you have it wrong, can you please move her record over to Greenmount, where her husband's record is at too. They share the same stone.

Ben Martinez
Greenleaf Page Davis and more...
Margaret, good work. I was reading about the good Captain Greenleaf Page Davis (What a name) and came across the name of General Naglee. What a grand coincidence.

He was the Commanding Officer of Sergeant William Roach, the First Sheriff of Monterey County (CA). I have done considerable research on the Sheriffs and Deputies of that agency, since it's inception in 1850.

What a wonderful thing is. It enables people such as you and I to preserve, educate and share the wonderful legacies of those that have gone before us.

I will add a link between Captain (General) Naglee in the Roach bio.

Thank you again and keep digging.

re: #41619506 & 41619467
Hi Margaret, I apologize, I was confused about the numbers you mentioned. A senior moment, I suppose. The memorial numbers listed above are for J Anton Gall & his wife Catherine Gall. I thought it was easier just to put the number in the memorial search field. Sorry for the confusion. Suzanne

yes, they are. Section, row & grave number. I'm sorry, I don't have a map of the cemetery, I simply walked up & down the rows.

If you want to add the transcription on the stone it reads - Hier Ruhet in Gott (Here rests in God) - Ruhe in Frieden (Rest in Peace)

I found a memorial also known as a funeral notice in an old family Bible. Col. Banes does not appear to be a relative. Contains photo and notice that he died 15 Jan 1897. Would you like it??? Charlotte Henry Hughes

RE: William Temple Franklin
Nice catch! I also took close-ups of each portion of that stone, and looking at that close-up, I see it is "IN" rather than "EN", which I thought I saw in the pictures I posted. I updated the caption.

I also have pictures of the right-hand side of this two-person gravestone, though I believe that woman is buried elsewhere in that same cemetery, with the man she married after Temple died. If you have any information about her, I'd appreciate knowing it.

Thanks again for checking the text.
