Charles and Audrey Tucker
I am son of Ronald Dean Tucker and I am researching the Tucker family. I have a tree on Ancestry, Tucker Family Tree. I have a few pictures of the tuckers and will share. If you could provide any information regarding Charles' parents, I would be very appreciative.

Thank you in advance.

Find A Grave Memorial# 32509209, John Wright
Your write up on John Wright states two different births: 4 Jan 1717 Nottingham, Chester, PA and 4 Nov 1716 East Nottingham, Chester, PA.

The actual birth record from New Garden MM, Chester, PA is 4 Eleventh 1716. Be careful about transcribing Quaker dates. The first month was March so the Eleventh month is JANUAURY. (U.S., Quaker Meeting Records, 1681-1935, Pennsylvania Chester, New Garden Monthly Meeting Minutes, 1746-1768, p. 33, Ancestry).

His death date is a (ante) 7 June 1790 according to his Will. (Will dated 17 Sep 1789; probate 7 Jun 1790)
SC Wills & Probate Rec., 1670-1980, Newberry, Vol 1:54, Ancestry.

We don't know that this John Wright was the one who was at the first and second Provincial Congress of SC. That John Wright lived in Berkeley Co, SC and represented St. James, Goose Creek, Charleston District, SC in 1775 He appears to be John C Wright, a physician whose Will was probated 19 Jan 1784 in Charleston.
South Carolina, Wills and Probate Records, 1670-1980, Charleston Letters of Administration, Vol Oo:322, 1775-1785, Ancestry.

NSDAR has not recognized this Provincial Congress service for the John Wright who married Rachel Wells. This John Wright was attributed patriot service for supplying provisions to the army in the Ninety Sixth District which was Newberry.

I am still researching Rachel Wells but she died in 1771 at the age of 52 (U.S., Quaker Meeting Records, 1681-1935, South Carolina, Newberry, Bush River Monthly Meeting Records-Marriages, Vol 02:2, 1797-1807, Rachel Wells Wright, Ancestry) so her birth date would be closer to c1719. My research so far indicates that her parents (Joseph and Margaret were married in All Hallows Episcopal Church)were converted to the Quaker religion in NC, so Rachel's birth was probably not Quaker.

And Thank you!!!!!!!!!! I want so badly to get the people together in the right cemetery. The only guidelines we have are the Johnson County Historical Society's published lists online and in books. It'll take time, but I'm working!!!!
Thanks again for your help.

Harry V. Middlecamp
Harry Middlecamp is my mother's father.
In "Find a Grave" you have Harry listed and his Grandfather (John Middlecamp) listed ! But, not Harry's father ??
Why ??
In Harry's write up of this his death you listed
both of his parents by name.
They are John C. Middlecamp (birth: Aug. 12, 1877) and Caroline Henry.
Will anyone every find the Grave of John C. Middlecamp and add it to "Find a Grave"??
This John C. Middlecamp is diffent than his father of John Middlecamp ==> Birth: Aug. 3, 1840

Best Regards,
Larry Crittenton

Good Morning, While doing Varney research this morning I ran across your memorial for William M Varney according to a census record. This is incorrect in the census as he was William Beverly Varney and his information is as follows:

Birth 1 AUG 1881 Pike, Kentucky, United States

Death 15 OCT 1971 Columbus, Franklin, Ohio, United States

My connection to him is as follows:

William Beverly Varney (1881 - 1971)
2nd cousin 2x removed
Bashaba Abasha Murphy (1852 - 1914)
mother of William Beverly Varney
Andrew Murphy Sr (1823 - 1862)
father of Bashaba Abasha Murphy
John Murphy (1794 - 1870)
father of Andrew Murphy Sr
Clarissa "Clary" Murphy (1819 - 1887)
daughter of John Murphy
Nancy Jane Hunt (1851 - 1925)
daughter of Clarissa "Clary" Murphy
Will Smith Murphy (1889 - 1946)
son of Nancy Jane Hunt
Mildred Murphy (1921 - 2002)
daughter of Will Smith Murphy
Ramona Sue Bowe
daughter of Mildred Murphy

Thank you for all your hard work establishing memorials for our ancestors.

You show John Varney's Father: James Varney
Mother: Nancy Newman

What are your sources for determining that James Varney and Nancy Newman are the parents of John Varney?

RE: Eugene Tackett
Your Welcome Tonya. I have never thought about asking for permission about using pictures of grave sites and what has me thinking about this is that I was contacted by another user asking for permission. I am now trying to contact everyone that I have gotten headstone pictures of and asking permission to use those pictures. May I use your headstone pictures in my data base?
Thank you for all of your hard work. I have found so many distant relatives because of researchers as yourself. Thank you.
I am related to the Tackett's thru my great grandmother Mary Frances Tackett Ramsey she was the d/o Harvey and Mary Jane Kinney Tackett.

Polly Jane May
Hello...very new to find a grave. Was just adding some family members that I was able to visit this past weekend in KY. I came across yours of Polly May, which appears to be my great great grandmother. I suppose I should delete my entry? Ive already linked some of her children and her husband James Harvey May. Can we move those to link on yours? I apologize, just getting started. At any rate, im so excited you have all of her info as i kind of hit a dead end with her.

Hi Tonya, Would you please transfer memorial for Essie Newsome to me. This is my sweet, precious mother.

Thank you so very much.

Findagrave reminder
When a memorial already exists in the correct cemetery, do not move a duplicate memorial into the cemetery. The duplicate memorial needs to be deleted. The only exception to this rule is the 30 day window on recent death memorials. Moving "non-cemetery burials" or "burial unknown" memorials into cemeteries, when a correct memorial already exists, could affect the status of your account. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
