Thank you for pointing that out. I guess I had the oil wells fixed in my mind and wanted to put it next to them. I recall there being one a stones throw from the cemetery, but can't make it out in the satellite image. Check the map now and see if it is more accurate.

Hi Penny,

Thanks so much for responding to my question. Yes, if you could check to see if he is listed on the memorial that would be great. I've been searching for his grave for a long time. I really appreciate it!

W S Harvey
I see you have an entry for a W S Harvey. I was wondering if you have anything on him. My great great great grandfather was William Sparkman Harvey. He was born on 17 Jan 1785 and died in 1853-58 in White County, IL.

Julianna Mueller Harpster
Penny,

I am researching Harpster relatives that lived in White County in the 1800's until at least 1875. I think that my gg grandmother Julianna Mueller Harpster (1820-1875) may be buried at Reib Cemetery. I don't have much other information about her and wonder if she has a gravestone there? Would you be able to post a picture of her stone? Thank you so much for your help.

Reuben F. Catlin
Hi Penny,

I've been searching for the grave of Reuben F. Catlin , Co. C, 33rd Indiana Infantry. He died between 1870 and 1880, probably in Jefferson County, IL, but he was from White County, IL. He married Talitha C. Pettypool in 1866 in White County. They appear in the 1870 Jefferson County, IL census, and she appears as a widow in Jefferson County in 1880. I see there are a couple of Reuben Catlins buried at the Catlin Cemetery. Were you able to find a stone for either Reuben? It's possible he has a military stone - Civil War with the shield on it. It looked like in your picture of all the stones that one of them might have a shield on it. Any information you can provide will be appreciated! Thanks!

Catlin Cemetery
Penny,
Please drop me a message if you photograph any of the other headstones with names of Aud, Catlin, or Teachner. I would love to get them before they are gone forever. Thank you for your efforts to preserve.
Many kind regards

Abraham Teachner
Hi Penny,
Thank you for your quick response. The photograph that was saved on "find a grave" for Abraham is too small, the inscription can not be clearly read. Is there a chance you or someone can retake this photo and save it in full, high resolution size? I'd be forever grateful to get a larger size photo he's a direct line ancestor. If you do not wish to upload a larger size on Find a grave, please consider sending me a larger size.
Thank you!
