As long as I don't do much using the old site, the Captcha system doesn't kick in. It hasn't for the last few Bios you sent.

Hi Cara,
Thanks to the new site I was able to sort by sender and then accept yours. Now I'm wondering if you can do me a favor and send future Bios through the new site. For the past couple hours the stupid CAPTCHA has been activated WHEN I ADD THINGS TO MY OWN MEMORIALS!!! That is beyond annoying. So far the Captcha doesn't seem to be operational on the new site--maybe they did at least one thing right and have made it impossible for Bots and Spiders to get in, although that sure doesn't seem to be the case on Ancestry as a whole.

It's too bad that whatever ISP you're using gets so bogged down on Find A Grave. I've been using Firefox for a couple years now, and Find A Grave is usually the quickest of any site. Ancestry and Google Maps eventually get my whole system bogged down, necessitating clearing the Histories on it and IE (and I think Internet Explorer is most of the problem...) and a Disc Cleanup, then I'm good for s few weeks.

I have about 3400 edits pending, and they sorted right away for me, and I was able to scroll down to your batch right away.

Mrs Ragland
Hi Cara,
Am looking for more information for burial of Mrs Ragland in 1898. Can you tell me if the information posted that burial is at the Sweet Grass Cemetery is from the newspaper information you included or from other records? We went there this summer, could not find marker and noticed there were several "unknown" markers in this cemetery with the earliest headstone from about 1916.
Thank you,

RE: Ida Stevens
You're welcome. I'm now trying to find all of Emma and Daniel DeWitt's children's burial places so I can link them all together. I don't know if you know anyone or have a personal connection to this family or can offer any help or ideas as to where some of their children ended up? I have a feeling William may be buried either in the Willow Creek area where his first wife is buried, or in California whereever his son Ed may be buried. I believe that he is survived by a second wife Edith (Hubbard) Vaughn and I haven't looked to see if she is buried by hubby #1.

Any help you can offer is appreciated. I have a subscription to that allows me to research some of the papers in the Helena/Townsend/Butte and Great Falls areas.

You are welcome. I always try to correct spellings when I see them. It is easy for anyone to make a simple mistake, even the newspapers! :) Thanks again, Jon

Thank you!
Many Thanks for all the work that has been done to preserve our Nations History.

I have been working with Family Graves in Cascade and Teton Counties in Montana and have been able to link them to Family Graves in Minnesota. Thus showing the movement of the Families from Norway to the United States and across the nation. The Families include Dale,Hanson,Canary,Lund and Iverson.

William F. Murray
I am a member of the Coal Miner Memorial Statue Committee, based in Frostburg, MD. We write stories about the miners who lost their lives on the job in Allegany County, MD. An unmarried miner by the name of William Murray was severely injured in an accident in the Hoffman Mine near Frostburg, MD in 1890. I found a William Murray who lived in the proximity of Frostburg in the 1880 census. He was seven years old. I suspect that this is the same William F. Murray whom you created the findagrave page for. I was hoping that this William Murray was a relative of yours, and you might know if he lived near Frostburg, MD at the time. Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Helen Burrington
Hello, I've been researching our family, and Helen Burrington is my maternal great-great grandmother. You obituary information indicated that you were unsure if Hope Cemetery was the correct location, but her husband, PVT chauncey Leavings Burrington is buried there, as are a daughter, Rebecca, and a son, George. That would make me think that is the correct cemetery. In future, if you come across a photo, I would love to see it. They had two other daughters, Pearl Majors Burrington Davidson and Mae Burrington Griffiths. I will be researching their gravesites as well. Pearl was my greatt-grandmother and passed in Bremerton, Washington, but I am not certain where she is buried. Maybe this is helpful?

Very interesting about what you found out about Frank Upton, he was like 4th great step grandfather. I would love to hear if you know anything else, as I just wrote what I have been told by my family.

RE: Annie Mattuska Polda
The interesting thing about this relative is that there are a few errors in her obituary, the greatest being the name of her husband. She was actually the wife of Thomas Polda, not William. William was their son, my grandfather. I have a copy of her obit from the Lidgerwood paper and the facts are correct in that article. Thomas died April 3, 1942 in Lidgerwood. Supposedly, he is buried in the Bohemian National Cemetery. I don't find him on Findagrave. Are you located in that area? Do you have a contact for that cemetery that I could work with to try to find his grave site? Thank you so much for your help with this. Vicki

Annie Mattuska Polda
She was my father's grandmother. I see you have added the obit from the Chester newspaper. I have a copy of the obit that was printed in the Lidgerwood paper about the same time. According to that obituary, she was buried in the National Cemetery in Lidgerwood. Her husband, Thomas Polda (not William), is supposedly buried in the Bohemian National Cemetery. I assume that is the same place. His grave is not listed on Findagrave. Living in Oregon I don't know how to find out if they are both buried there. Can you offer any advice?
