|Harold Gray||Joseph Cicero Holcombe|
Joseph was my great uncle, my grandmother lived with him after her mother died.
You have Josephs parent's listed as Robert Spencer Holcombe and Margaret Lawrence Holcombe.
Joseph and some of his siblings lived with a Margaret Holcombe but I have his parents as Jesse and Sussanah Holcombe. Do you have information concerning his parents. I believe mine came from The Holcombes Nation Builders.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

|Carolyn Mahaffey||Whatley Family Cemetery, Troup Co, Georgia|
Thank you and bless you for posting photos and information from this very old cemetery. My childrens' father died at age 36 and we knew nothing of their Whatley lineage. We have researched for years and finally this week visited several cemeteries, including this one in Troup County. To our horror, the cemetery is badly overgrown and has been brutally vandalized. Their line is from the older Archie, through Ornan Houston. Ornan's grave has been destroyed, along with his wife's. They would not be recognizable without your photographs. What a disgrace for a man who helped establish the county and the city of LaGrange. Does anyone have ideas about how we could fund a restoration? These graves represent so much history. Our Archie was born in 1768 and was the second white settler! Again,so many thanks to you. Atlantac@bellsouth.net

I would be honored to take them over. Thank you.
How are you related to the Word family?

|Chris Russo||RE: Mary Baughn Word|
Yes I am. Mary & BC Word were my 3x great-grandparents.
Mary's parents was Joseph A Baughn (1809-1880) & Frances Gilbert (1810-1860)
BC Word's parents were John Bryson Word (1796-1882) & Amelia 'Milly' Sparks (1803-1868)
Both JB & Amelia Word are buried behind their house in Victory, Carroll County, GA
Their memorials are on Find-A-Grave, although the pictures that are included of them may not be accurate. The date of the family photo is not known. Milly was certainly dead when this photo was taken - and most likely, so was JB.
Thank you for creating the memorials.

Thanks. Some of these cemetery postings has the location if you scroll down. This one didn't and I thought you might know the street or road it is located on. Especially since you've been there. And there's 3 churches by that name in Alexander City. One is at 945 Tallapoosa St., one at 446 Meadows St., and the third one is at 2325 Dadeville Rd.

No, I don't think so, although I do have a Smith line. You didn't really send me enough information to figure out who you were talking about - need some dates, place, etc. I have added many, many Smith's.

|James Lee||Father of John Emory Lee|
Thanks so much for the pictures of the Lee family cemetery in Randolph County. They confirm notes I have from my grandfather.
Has anyone had any luck finding the parents of John Emory Lee? My grandfather said that the father of John Emory Lee was Timothy Tapley Lee, a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He won a land grant in the 1827 land lottery.
Any clues or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, James Lee (firstname.lastname@example.org)
