RE: Louisa Currier Woodbury
I looked at the gravestone again (which I should have done before I started all these messages).
Curiouser and curiouser...

In the few minutes since I sent that I found your listing of Sally Davis Graham. There is a disconnect somewhere, either in the Acworth History or my other sources of information. I'll keep nagging this one! If you find anything, do let me know.

Not being argumentative, but... :)
According to Merrill's History of Acworth (1869), page 287, "Charles M. [Woodbury] married Louisa G. Currier. Louisa's mother was widow "Mrs. Sally Graham married Joseph Currier" (page 221). Their one child was Louisa. So, my guess is that the "C" on the tombstone is for her maiden name. I'm trying to find where I got the Graham, but I believe it is correct. I think it is likely that the Graham was a tribute to her first husband.

RE: Mary F. Buss
Thank you Jim. I added some edit suggestions on Mary's birthdate too. I don't know if you will get that info or if Find A Grave looks at it. But I was able to fill in a blank for Mary Buss. Thanks for adding her parents. Nice memorials for your pets too. Nice idea!

Jim -

That works for parents & spouses & children but not siblings. It's in the Find A Grave FAQ's. The only way to reunite siblings is through the parents. Thanks for the quick response.

Mary F. Buss
Hi Jim -

I am researching Mary F. Buss' family and can tell you that her father was Jonathan Butler (Find A Grave # 44713053) and her mother was Martha Russel Butler (Find A Grave # 44713024). I can prove this through NH Birth Records. If you could add Mary's parents to her memorial then she would also be linked up with some of her other siblings on Find A Grave. I am reaching out to the creators of the memorials of the other siblings to try & "reunite" as much of the family on Find A Grave as possible. Thank you for your consideration.

You're not a bad guy! I was curious about your reasoning. I believe one source I had for her name was an Acworth history. I can't say why the stone has "C". Who knows.

Louisa Currier Woodbury
I recently did an edit on her. She is a great-great grandmother. This was rejected, though it is not clear who rejected in, so I'm guessing perhaps it was you, as you maintain the memorial.
Family history, and some sources I have checked, give her name as Louisa Graham Currier, though I see the gravestone appears to have a "C". You live in Acworth so likely know more than I do, but I am curious to pursue this.
Many thanks.

Re: Daniel Albert Flagg
You were right all along. I found when they opened DHMC in Lebanon. It wasn't until October 1991, according to WIKI. So sorry. Lesson learned.

Re: Daniel Albert Flagg

I just happen to look at his death certificate, and it states that the facility name was Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, Hanover.
At the bottom though, the physician called it Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Hanover, NH. We were there at the time, by his bedside, and I am quite sure we were in Lebanon.
Very confusing. I guess it has to stay as is, Hanover, since that is what is on the death certificate. Sorry if I have made extra work for you.
With appreciation,

Re: Daniel Albert Flagg
I forgot to mention that the bushes hiding the stone were removed by someone several years ago. It is now in clear view.
Thank you. SG

RE; Daniel Albert Flagg
He was married to my mother, Beulah. I have a copy of his birth certificate and just a few minutes ago submitted some information regarding his birth date and place of birth. He was born on April 18, 1928 in Bristol, CT. Died at DHMC, Lebanon on Sept. 23, 1988.

His father was Marshall W. Flagg, born in West Hartford, CT. His mother, Ethel Kennedy, born in Bristol, CT.

He had a brother, Robert, who used to live in CA, but I lost track of him.

You can be sure this is correct.

Sincerely, SG

Smiths in Acworth, NH
I have a relative who served in the Civil War and listed Acworth, NH as his place of birth. I have been trying to definitively make the connection to ancestors in Acworth, NH and I was curious if you may be able to help. His name is Charles Smith and he made his way to Upstate NY prior to enlisting in the Civil War with his son Ransom. I mention Ransom because it is somewhat distinctive and the family seems to reuse the name throughout history. I was able to find an Edward and Polly Smith who were married in Acworth but have been unable to find the missing link that proves their connection. A birth record would obviously be ideal but I was wondering if you had any insight into Acworth in terms of historical records. How many cemeterys are in Acworth? Any info you can provide would be helpful. My email is Thank you, Dan

You have the following on your page:

Please do not send me copies of obituaries or funeral home notices. I will not add a "Poached Copy" of an obituary from a newspaper or funeral home notice to a memorial.

Since you believe that this info is "Poached", why are you visiting these sites for your memorial information?

I have been utilizing Stringer Funeral Home for about 8 years and then you come along and do the very thing you state you won't do. You are a hypocrite.

Why don't you go to Fenton and Hennessy or another site instead of infringing upon another contributor?

Added by Janice Prichard on May 29, 2016 10:06 AM

It is impolite for one contributor to poach the site(s) of other contributors. You have been poaching mine and this displeases me very much. I have utilized this site for about eight years so I am asking that you no longer do so.

This is a duplicate of 158201679 which I did 2 days ago. This man was my cousin, and a very close one to. Please don't take his obituary and add it under flowers and sign it anonymous. If you would look and see if people are listed it would save a lot of time. You really hurt my feelings a lot !!

Duplicate, but which one?
While searching for links to family for a Deptula record I just created, this duplicate caught my eye. Upon looking at the records, they have the same name and birth/death dates, as well as the same name of the cemetery... but the cemeteries are in two different locations with the same name.

Maybe you can sort out which of these should be deleted? I'm leaving the same message on the other contributor's wall too. Thanks.

Joseph Stanley Deptula #134146921 and #128550638.
