The grave pictured is for Morris and Grace Swankhouse. Morris is Mary's son, not her spouse. Her spouse was Henry John Swankhouse.

I think you need to remove your link to Thomas McCamey - as when I try to put the wives in order - I end with with Ida twice .. yours and mine - and to get the order correct - I have to do mine together -

I believe this person is buried in the Battle Ground Cemetery with her husband.

There are no records of her being buried in IVH.
Thanks,
Roy

Roether Memorials

Hi! I believe the ROETHER boys: Ephraim O.(1861-1862; Memorial# 37402084) & Irvin W.(1868-1869; Mem.# 37402141) were actually sons of "A & M", or "Abraham & Mary" ROETHER. {But we can't even check for them in the 1870 U.S. Census!}...

In the 1900 U.S. Census in Pleasant [Township], Hancock County, Ohio, USA, Mary is listed as being the mother of 10 children w/7 living. The 1880 U.S. Census in the same place shows Abraham & Mary with 7 children: William H.(b-1854), Malinda A.(b-1856), Rebecka Jane(b-1857), Mary Ellen(b-1859), Samuel W.(b-1860), Reuben A.(b-1863), and Ida L.(b-1867). Including my 2-Gr.Grandmother Sarah E.(b-Dec 1851) who married Peter F. POWELL in 1871, this made 8 children alive in 1880. So-o-o-o...

I know that Ida married Newton L. HERMON around 1888; but she died in 1895. Which leaves only the 7 children alive in 1900. AND, I was looking at the photo of the gravestone for the two boys {SO very hard to decipher!}, and I think that "J" could very well be an "A" -- It looks a lot like the "A" in "Aged" to me.

:-) Jeannie {J.H.[Lucas] FLECK}

Benjamin HAMMES
I recently added a photo and information for Benjamin HAMMES who is buried at the Union Cemetery in Bowers, PA. Did you delete it? The tombstone fell and is cracked in many pieces lying face down. The info is from the Union Cemetery burial book in my possession.

Lillian's parents
I had send you a couple of edits to Lillian Sands, initially with what I had and saying I wasn't 100%. Then I found more and sent another edit with that information...then I went ahead and submitted the quick edit with the memorial numbers, now awaiting your decision.
Sorry for the two suggested edits/notes, the submission, and the public message. It's kind of a layering process, I guess.

Cheers!

Howard43614 is known for his duplicates!! He always tells you to delete yours. You have to look for funeral home obits as soon as they are posted.
You and I are not the only ones he has confronted with this.

RE: Franklin Stickler Headstone #150195018
I do not know who marked the older headstones in the Elgin Cemetery, but several looked like someone had taken a black or blue marker to them.

RE: Stephen Wolford
I believe that the rules dictate that the earlier posted memorial remains. I'd be more than happy to transfer my memorial to you if it means that much to you. But you would first need to delete the duplicate. Let me know what you decide.

RE: Stephen Wolford
I'm not sure why my memorial did not show up when you did a search. I always indicate the cemetery when the cemetery appears in the obituary or on the funeral home site. In any case, the FindAGrave Memorial number indicates which memorial was posted first. Sorry you did not find it during your search. I've experienced that frustration as well.
