No, we moved to the Northwest prior to your request. I apologize for only now getting back to F-a-G.

Russell Allen Taylor
Are you related to Russell? I posted two pics to Find A Grave. I have his framed Purple Heart...see pic. My brother found it in a trailer left behind by a tent ant who we believe was Russell's brother. Even though I didn't know him personally, out of respect for his sacrifice, I hung it on a wall in my home. I wish to "bring it home" to a family member. You may reach me at Russell Taylor. Thank you, Rebecca Shonborn

Isiah P. LeMasters, # 31358725
I agree with Sandra King that Isiah P. LeMasters is most likely in the Cochran Cemetery, Onoto, Pocahontas County, WV. We live on a WVDNR Wildlife Management Area on down Williams River from the communities of Woodrow & Onoto. Therefore, we pass that cemetery every time we drive to town. I plan to ask my hubby to drop me off there one pretty morn. & pick me up later so that I may complete taking photos in that cemetery as well as making an inventory for the Genealogy Society of Pocahontas County who is in the process of publishing books that will contain all the cemeteries in Pocahontas County. (See my member page for more info.) If/when I find Isiah's grave, I'll take a pic. & let you know. Just remind me in a couple of weeks if I haven't gotten back to you.

Isiah P. LeMasters
Sandra, I found on the WV Culture site a death for, I P LeMasters died 29 April 1907 at Onoto, Pocahontas County, WV, 54 years old, married, and the informant is E LeMasters(son). There is a possibly he could be buried in the Cochran Cemetery, it is in Onoto. Some time when I am at the Library, I will check the old Pocahontas Times newspaper and see if there's and obit or a mention of his death.

Isiah P. LeMasters
Also re: Isiah P. LeMasters - I see that there is a Clossen ancestor. I believe there was a lumber town named Clossen in Pocahontas County, WV during the lumber boom.

Please see the 2 messages that I just left for Steve Harrison (#46893586) regarding the "Marlington" Cemetery. Please let me know if Isiah P LeMasters could be buried in the Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton (no 'g') or the smaller McLaughlin Cemetery in Marlinton. These days, anytime someone says "the Marlinton Cemetery" they mean Mountain View.

Connie Crowl
Lower Rowan Cemetery
Hello Sandra,

I am hoping to find someone to go to the Lower Rowan Cem near Mabie, WV and look for my great-grandmother's grave. Her name was Sarah Tenney born 1884 and died in 1919. I went to the wrong cemetery when I was back a couple of weeks ago. I went to the Upper Rowan Cem.

Thank you,

Connie Lambert Crowl
