Find A Grave Memorial# 76610015

If you call Elmwood Cemetery and Mausoleum at 708- 453-0273 and:
1. Ask if your photo request person has a headstone / grave marker.
2. If there is a headstone / grave marker ask for the section, block, lot and grave number.
3. If you send that information to me, Susan (#48964989) I will go there and fulfill your photo request. Of course any other Find A Grave volunteer can also fulfill your request if you then add the headstone location information to your photo request page.
Good Luck.
Susan

Also included in section with John is his mom Clara Schellenberg Fischer (already posted Martin), as noted his two wives Esther and Gertrude (looks like Gertrudes Parents - Max Ebert and Ida Ebert Burger. If you could create a memorial, I could post the pictures... B

RE: Baby Boy Stocker
Yes, he is buried in Section BS (Baby Section?), which appears to be almost entirely filled with children and babies. If you look at the photo caption I put the section and lot numbers there for future reference (as I do with all the the photos I take where there is no grave marker).

RE: Louise Bremer Sauer
Regarding the Charles and Gertrude Sauer monument, here is some additional info.

1. Charles' name on the monument is Carl, and above his name are German words.

2. Gertrude is also on the front.

3. There is not a third person on the front.

4. William is on the right hand side as you face the front of the monument.

5. If I remember correctly, the other two sides are blank.

You're welcome. Sorry they weren't marked by when the office showed me who was buried where I thought it best to show you and that was the only way I knew how. Happy it helped a bit.

Reminder for Virgel Edwin Siegel
Hi! Regarding your photo request, can you please contact the cemetery and obtain the Section, Lot, and Grave Number information, and then post it to your request? Please also ask if there is a grave marker and add that information to your photo request and/or memorial. The Find A Grave FAQs state the photo requestor is responsible to provide this information.

Elmwood Cemetery: (708) 453-0273

This cemetery provides extremely limited assistance to photo volunteers with finding a grave's location. Last year I was able to fulfill almost 200 photo requests at Elmwood through this process. Because the lots in this cemetery are poorly marked, almost no one else ever photographs here. I have only had success here because I have spent literally weeks at a time to learn the intricacies of the layout of this cemetery.

Thank you for helping me to help you.

Reminder for Jaaks & Bremer Photo Requests
Can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker?

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

This cemetery will not assist photo volunteers with finding the grave's location and the Find A Grave FAQs (Help File) states it is the photo requestors job to provide this information.

Thank you! Ace

Info for Virgel Siegel
Hi! Can you please call or e-mail the cemetery and ask for the Section, Lot, and Grave numbers and then add this information to the online record? This helps the photo volunteers to find the grave marker.

Elmwood is a huge cemetery and this information is needed in order to fulfill your request. I have located more than 50 graves at Elmwood for Find A Grave, but I cannot find a grave for you without the burial plot information.

Thank you! Ace

Acacia Park Cemetery Photo Request
Hello - I work near the Acacia Park Cemetery, where you have a photo request, and I can easily stop by anytime. However the cemetery office has a policy to only allow me two location lookups per visit, so with over 100 requests, I am making graves with plot information my priority. If you would like me to add a photo, I would ask that you call the office (773-625-7800) for a location and add it to the listing. Thanks!

Ridgewood request for Curry
Judy,

The snow has finally retreated enough to fulfill more requests. I was out at Ridgewood today and took another run at Section 14, Lot 761. Your request is not there. I even tried Lot 716 in case some digits were transposed, but to no avail. When you call the office, just tell them you're trying to confirm fsmily records and you're having a hard time reading the note. Say you think it reads Section 17 and ask for the correct information.

Sarah Anne Curry at Ridgewood
Hello, Judy,

I was calling Ridgewood Cemetery for a relative's plot location and asked for Sarah Curry's while I was at it. There is a Sarah Anne Curry in Section 14, lot 761. Hope this helps in your search.

Mount Olive photo requests
Hi. I will be going to Mount Olive cemetery over the next 3 or 4 weeks (weather permitting) to take photos of my relatives grave sites and I saw you had a request(s). If you would call the cemetery office (number on the front page of the cemetery page) and get the location of the burial, I will try to get the photo request for you while I am there. Just add it to your memorial in the plot section. They are very helpful at the office. Kathy

What is your Find A Grave # and I will transfer Peter to you. I added all of the Lindberg's to this cemetery, but could not find a link to all.

Acacia Cemetery
Greetings--I'm planning two visits to Acacia next week, if you could call them and get the location for your request, I'd be happy to look for you! Their number is 773-625-7800. The full location should include the section name, block number and lot number! Thanks!

Concordia Cemetery Requests
Hi Judy,

A group of us are going to Concordia on April 6th and we wanted to fulfill all of the photo requests there.

Would you be able to contact Corcordia at 708-366-0017 and get the location for the graves you want photographed? They are very friendly there. We are going on a Sunday so the office won't be open for us to get locations.

Thanks so much!
Janice

RE: Willam C Bremer and Gertrude Bremer
Hi Judy,
I literally almost tripped over them when looking for someone else. They are right behind some other ones I photographed for you last year (you can see those in the background) and near the Troggs.
As it turns out, I'm related to some different Bremers by marriage. Small world, eh?
Best,
Debbie

Chicago-area photo requests
Hi Judy,
In an effort to winnow down the lists of photo requests in this area, I'm asking for your help. I know you've encountered resistance in your efforts to find out the plot locations, but if you could try again (and again), it would really speed along the process of your getting pix. I've found if I call and just ask for two at a time, they are less likely to give me a hard time.
I plan to head up to Montrose as soon as the weather breaks, so that might be a good cemetery to start with. Thanks.

RE: Luke Abbott
Let me know which gravestones you want me to have a look at - I will obviously have a good go at the Abbott one. I don't have access to parish records. I will probably go and have a look next week when I might go via there to Harrogate. I noticed there are a few Lowcocks down at Dacre Banks too.
No probs.

Sauer family
Hi Judy,
They are transferred to you. I'll try to go out to Forest Home and see if the light's better another day to get more readable info, plus I can't believe I cut the top off the monument!
If there's any way for you to get the plot info for the Bremers I'll get photos of them too. It seems like every time I've been in the FH office lately, they've only been willing to give me two locations at a time. At that rate, it will take me a whole year to get through the photo requests.
Also, I've noticed that some people put their christening names on their headstones, even though they were known by another name throughout adulthood, so Carl may have gone by Charles.
Best,
Debbie
