Martha Corbin McDonald, #34368024
Hello. Thank you for posting the Find A Grave photo for my ancestor at Hadley Cemetery. I visited Hadley a few years ago when I was in Illinois visiting family. I was unable to locate the gravestone at that time. I plan to visit Hadley again in June. Do you have further information or suggestions on how I might find Martha Corbin McDonald's headstone? I would appreciate any help you can offer.

Thank you.

Thanks for your suggestion.
I tend not to add hyperlinks, as they can be disrupted. I have added his brothers' name, year of death and Find A Grave memorial number to the bio section.
Would you like this memorial transferred to your care?

Taylor & McGillis
I have a George Henry TAYLOR that married a McGILLIS dau. of William & Velma (BROOKS) McGILLIS, but the marriage record says her first name was Taylor. Do you have any info on a Taylor McGILLIS that married George TAYLOR?

In Hadley Cemetery, I believe your stone for Find A Grave Memorial# 34368030 and Find A Grave Memorial# 34368029, (siblings) are the same two children as Find A Grave Memorial# 128175035 and Find A Grave Memorial# 128175109. I think your stone was the original, and at some point later toward the end of that century, they updated that stone to the more recent. What is your opinion?

Of course your memorials are first, so they are the keepers. I just wanted your opinion. If you think they are the same two children, Lloyd is very easy to work with and I know he would gladly move his photos over to your memorials, and delete his, once you update your memorials with the information on the newer memorials. Just running this by you to see what you think and whether or not you agree they are the same two children. It is entirely up to you. Thank you! Pam

The Minor Family Photos
Thank you ever so much for taking the requested photos of the Minor family buried in Riverview Cemetery. Not only did it confirm some of my information but the stones had complete dates which helped greatly. Thanks again and have a terrific day.

Lengen and Sommer photos
thank you so very very much. Pastor Lengen has become a very personal project for me, while his daughter Elsa married into my family, I have been working also for a Lutheran Pastor in Germany at the church where Pastor Lengen was baptized. He was trying to get as much info as he could about Pastor Lengen. Every little piece helps- I now know the churches he was at and why and where he died. Your help is very much appreciated. The Sommer family (William and Caroline) were the parents of Pastor Lengen's wife Wilhelmine nee Sommer.

Riverview Cemetery
I know Pastor Reinhard(t) Lengen is buried there, died in 1902, date and place unknown, and have asked for a photo of his marker- no one has claimed my request yet. Just also requested photos for his parents-in-law, William and Caroline Sommer in the same cemetery. I am hoping to also find information about a baby born to Pastor Lengen and his wife Wilhelmine nee Sommer who may be buried in this cemetery. Found your website info re the cemetery, and addresses for the cemetery association and historical society museum, no zipcodes though- would like to write to them for info.
I believe St. Paul Lutheran in Streator has death/burial info on Pastor Lengen but couldn't read the copy they sent me.
Any help you can give me will be very much appreciated

RE: Thank You!
In my 3rd great-grandfather's journal, he speaks of visiting his brother and the grave of his brother's daughter who died as a young girl. Harriet is that daughter. Thank you for looking!
