Norma Clack
Butler family, Del Rey Cemetery, California
Hello, Paul,
I've added some family photos to a few of the Butler sites that you maintain at the Del Rey Cemetery. It looks like you are a Butler descendant, so I wanted you to know where I fit into the Butler family tree. Here's the connection:
David Williams and Asenath Butler
- their daughter, Elma Butler Gordon
- her daughter, Georgia Edith Gordon Clack
- her son, Wynne Rollinson Clack (my father)

I live in Michigan, but have visited Del Rey Cemetery. Now that I'm semi-retired, I like to spend time doing family research, visiting cemeteries, and writing family histories as time permits. Feel free to contact me about any of this family branch. My e-mail address is

Thanks Paul,

Lesson Number two:

When you click on EDIT, three choices come up, Accept, Decline and Ignore.

Through trial and error I have learned this-If the EDIT has additional information, I accept it.
If it condradicts mine, I ignore it and then look at it and make a decision. If I don't agree at all, I decline it.

Don't send message until every block is marked or you will be accepting all.

You don't need to go to each memorial and make the changes. Hope this helps.

On your Bio page on the upper right side, you will see the following:

Click on Edit.

When Find A Grave first added this new feature, I had a lot of EDITS waiting for me. A friend told me about it.

When you get time, could you look at the 6 EDITS that I have sent you ?

Snowed in and working on relatives.

Thank you.

Homer G. Roselieb # 85833045
Hi Paul,
I added a picture for Homer G. Roselieb #85833045 at the Erie, IL cemetery, but the headstone actually reads "Roseleif, Homer G., Illinois PVT, 123 Field Artly, 33 Div, December 10, 1918".

A quick check on Ancestry finds on an application for a headstone to the Bureau of War Veterans Graves Registration with the spelling of Roseleif typed in , but in red underneath says Roselieb so I think this is the same Homer.

Let me know if this picture does not belong here and I will remove, but I beleive it's the same Homer, just mis-spelled.

Thanks, KLLawrence

Hi Paul,

Find A Grave has a new feature for linking.

On your Bio page, click on the EDIT button.

The newest feature is linking spouses and parents. You add the information and it is sent to me (or others) and I accept it.

It's a lot easier for all concered and eliminates duplicate information.

Virgil & Hattie Turner
Thank you for the information on the Turners.
I have linked them to their parents.
Hattie died in Polk county, Oregon not in Missouri.
I believe that their son, Edgar Olin Turner is memorial # 33059830
I found Rex Turner on the California Death Index as -
Donald Rex Turner April 3, 1911 S.D. to January 10, 1988 in Lake county, California
I hope that this is helpful to you.

Thank you for the information. but some of it is wrong. You have children born in 1852 & 1855 to a Mother born in 1851.

When I transcribe an entire cemetery, I check to see if any one has been previously posted. thus avoiding duplicates.

This is my family. I am related to almost everyone in this cemetery.

When I posted St Matthews, Find A Grave did not have the LINK option. I will attempt to link their 16 children.

Beverly (3rd Great Grand Daughter of Daniel Bowsher 1795-1870)

Betty Miller
You have duplicated the Bowsher family by posting them to St Matthews Cem. They are already posted in St Matthew Cem. Check the postings for the cemetery without the s and you will see that they are the same place.
