Yes, I would be happy to transfer Bertha's memorial to you. Watch for that e-mail coming soon.

No, I'm not related to any Sheffers that I know of.

Eliza and George Sheffer
It was strange that they had such different dates--must have just gotten entered wrong on the list I used...I deleted my duplicates.

G. C.
St. George Cemetery
Dear Jeany,

Where is the (1902-1903)section of St. George's Cemetery, that I can view from Google satellite map, please?

Sarah Baldwin, died in 1902-1903, buried at St.
George's Cemetery, according to her death record.

The cemetery has no records for that time period.

I would be happy with view the ground on the 1902-1903 area from a google map. Where do I look, on a map?

Can you help, please, to suggest the area?

RE: Heastone

I hope you can do it. You can only put 3 pics on the memorial page.

Could you remove all St Georges cemetery names you posted. I'll be there tomorrow and adding the St John Vianney name. Thank you.

RE: Duplicate Memorials - both yours!
Jacob Sheffer is the brother of my husband's ancestor, Samuel Sheffer m. Susan Kinsman. Lots of related Sheffers and others in Friedens Cemetery.

Duplicate Memorials - both yours!
For Jacob Sheffer:

Memorial# 38988040
Memorial# 37322682 (I would delete this one since it has less info)

Glendale Cemetery
Jeany -
Were you ever able to clarify burial location of Charles Walter Griffin in Glendale Cemetery, DuPage Cty.? I still can't figure out where it is, no one I talk to has heard of it, and no cemeteries seem to heave ever had the name Glendale.
Let me know so I can get that photo request filled.

Charles Griffin
Jeany - you requested a photo of the above. The 'Glendale Cemetery' in DuPage Cty.(the first county directly west of Chicago), IL has only two internments listed. I can't seem to find it (although there is a city of Glendale Heights), and have also never heard of it - no listing of it on any Illinois genealogical websites.
Where did Charles Griffin die? There are quite a few Glendale cemeteries in Illinois, most notably two in Tazewell County, one in Warren County and one in Peoria County.

Let me know if I can help in any way.

RE: Lewis D. Chase
Jeany, I did confirm that the man in the photo album is Lewis Dorman Chase, my uncle's roommate at Turner Field GA. I will email you pictures shortly. Thanks so much, and it's great to be in touch with you! ~Jana

RE: Florid Cemetery
You're welcome. We sent a nice donation to the Putnam Co. Historical Soc. requesting it go to help clean up the cemetery. We, also, wrote letters to people in charge (county officials & historical societies). The mowers were just leaving the cuttings, which were covering the graves, etc. They have promised to keep a better eye on the workers. Who knows if that will happen, but at least we tried.

Jeany, just wanted to advise you, I added a 2nd photo of her marker at Florid cemetery. Mine was taken about 1994 when it was still upright and the lettering is more clear. I'll leave it up to you whether you leave your photo up or not. It does demonstrate how the cemetery has started to deteriorate. We were there last year and so sad to see it in such bad shape and so many stones knocked down or broken in just 10-15 years time.

St George's Cemetery
Thanks for the picture of the cemetery. We moved from the area 21 years ago and so rely on FindAGrave. So far, no one has responded to my requests but I enjoy doing the "hunts" over in Bucks County.
We are retired too and I love recruiting friends if my husband doesn't want to join me on a "hunt".

David (Bud) Andrews
Jonathan Kreger grave
Dear Jeany, was looking for Jonathan Kreger's grave in Frieden's Cemetery on 6/20/10 , as per your photo request. We were unable to find this grave , but did find his wife and son next to each other , so I am assuming that he IS buried there, but in an unmarked grave.

I think you put the wrong gravestone on her memorial.

You go to your profile page and click on Edit (it's on the top right), you click on the photo and click delete. Then you go and add a new picture. I just change the photo way too much because I never seem to be happy with just one. :-) Let me know if you have any questions. I will be happy to answer questions about stuff if I can (meaning have the answer). :-)
Have a good week,
