Bartholomew Powers
Gary,

Many thanks for sharing the staff notes of Bartholomew Powers; loved when I read he wanted to marry Queen Victoria! Thanks for adding the biography information and linking him to his family.

All the Best to you in 2017.

Thank you Gary for the picture! I have not seen the stone yet and it will be a year before I get back there so I really appreciate having the picture posted. You mentioned once about a family connection between us? Thank you again for all you do to keep Union Cemetery recorded on this sight!

Did you meet with a local person at the time you were photographing? I need a local interested party to see who the adjoining graves are, if possible. Thanks, Grace

Are there carved letters spelling "Arther" on the wooden cross? I studied the pictures and could not tell. Thanks, Grace (In Sugarbush Cemetery, Beltrami County)

Whitneys in Union
I have made the corrections. Sorry about the error. I got my relatives entered correctly. I do not know these people and thought I would find a link to my Whitneys, but have not yet. Are you related to them? Sherry

George Washington Carpenter
Gary, June 30, 2013

Thanks to you and all the contributors of Find A Grave for your work and dedication. Here in Pennsylvania, This upcoming week is the Battle of Gettysburg and it brought back memories of our ancestors who joined the Union army.

I have additional family information for George Washington Carpenter:

He had two daughters with Rosa Bella Lord Carpenter

Maude Irene Carpenter Stemmer - 1877 -1944
May A Carpenter Bowman - 1872 - 1901

I know that Maude Irene Carpenter Stemmer is on Find A Grave.

Thank you again,

May I transfer him to you, Gary? That way you could say something to straighten out any confusion future researchers might have? I am so glad you returned to see that I put that on there because it worried me. Let me know if I can transfer him to you.

Henry Hanson and daughter Lena
I am related from Henry's daughter Lena Hanson Shill in Union Cemetery. I am trying to organize her family. Is her mother Marin Kristine (Christine) buried there? I saw this on the lot info you posted but not in Find A Grave. I also added the lot card to Henry if that was ok with you.
