I noticed that you have a memorial for Andrew Walen at Cooperstown cemetery. He is at Glenfield with the photo of his stone that I added. I believe since it has to be the same person yours should be deleted.

I do that when I can find the spouse or parents' memorial, only resorting to the other message when my attempt to find a memorial fails, alas.

A gentle reminder. "Burial unknown" on find a grave, is supposed to only be used for 30 days or less while awaiting internment of a recent death, not as a placeholder for genealogy.
Many volunteers on find a grave document the plot locations so all genealogists benefit.
If you do find out where someone in your line is actually buried, and there IS another existing memorial from that location, proper etiquette is to remove your burial unknown. Ask for any edits you'd like on the memorial that was existing at the proper plot location. And, if course, you can then request a transfer if you need to manage a family members memorial. In that way, the grave site documenters are given credit for their work in locating the graves (hence the name, find-a-grave), and, your family connections are preserved in the transfer.

Thanks so much for the transfer of Mary's memorial. It certainly wasn't necessary as she was a distant relative of mine but did want you to know that I really appreciate your kindness,

|Karen Gilliam||Lucinda Ward Mills|
This is the information that one of her Grandsons had posted on a blog about the location of her grave:
Lucinda was my grandmother, and John H. Mills my uncle. To get to John's grave you need to go to Tomahawk between Paintsville and Inez. Take the Rockhouse Road appx 2 miles and turn left at Horse Branch. Cemetery will be on the hill on the left. Lucinda is buried on up the road behind the Freewill Baptist church, up on the hill. Her grave, like many others, is not marked.

I will need to check with a cousin on cemetery location if she has it recorded for Lucinda Mills. There is a very interesting story about Lucinda, if you do a Google search for her and Tomahawk, KY

|Twila||RE: Delma Mease|
Thanks for the offer, Roger. Delma is a third cousin but I don't have any other information than you have. I prefer not to have Memorials transferred unless I can add something significant. In this instance, I really don't have anything to offer other than try to get all of the family linked together and I can do that without managing the Memorial.
Just appreciate the work you do. Thanks for the very quick response.

Thank you so much for offering to share your information. That is extremely kind.
I am not related to this family, but I am always interested in locating and connecting family members. I originally ran across this family because of their ties to the Western Kentucky region. I hope our team effort will be beneficial to others in the future. Thank you for your help.
Also, I noticed that you had a few photo request in Myers Chapel Cemetery in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. I have photographed there as I do have a few relatives buried in this cemetery. I think I posted photographs of all markers that I was able to locate. It is probable that these are unmarked graves, but please leave your request in the event that someone else has better luck finding them. I will double check my files to make sure that I posted everything.

Thanks for your help. Based on the information that you provided, I was able to find the death certificate of his second wife. I have created a memorial for her and linked it to his memorial. It is still a work in progress, but I will transfer it to your care when I conducted a little more research. I am not related to him, but got off on a tangent doing other research. Thanks again, D. L.
