Many thanks for getting the Massey family headstones onto Find A Grave. The pics turned out so well.
The stones really help in verifying family info, too.
I wonder if you'd allow me to used the pics in the family research, with credit of course?

|Andrew Dunn||Pauline Dunn Beaty - birthyear|
Carol, Pauline's gravestone says born 16 Jan 1911 - BUT - she appears on the 1910 census, taken 29 April 1910, age 4/12! Also, she appears in our old family bible: Source: Thomas J Dunn family bible, held by Andrew W. Dunn "Pauline Dunn was born Jan 12, 1910." (Note: Toombstone says 1911.) "Pauline Dunn Beaty died May 16, 1926."
// Andrew Dunn, formerly from Charlotte. Pauline's mother Myrtle was my grandfather Robert F Dunn's sister.

I am doing research on the Battle of Ashland Jun 1, 1864. Do you know if Sgt. Tillet left a diary or memoir of his service?

|Betty Fowles||Eleanor Doyel Wingfield French Lewis|
Hi Carole. I noticed your notes for Eleanor Doyel. She was my g grandmother. Your notes state that you think she had 3 children by L. A. French. She had 3 children by him. Cecil and Gordon. Their was a third,an infant, who died between Cecil and Gordon. Look at the 1910 census. It lists a child by the name of Lucil as a son. Not a daughter. That child is Cecil. Bless the census takers. They have messed up sooooooo... many people who are researching.Gordon was their third (per my grandmother, Clara Wingfield Holder, her FIRST child , by her 1st husband Sidney. When Sidney died grandma Clara was a baby. Eleanor gave her over to Sidney's parents, Jacob and Elizabeth Shipley Wingfield, to be raised. She was with them until she married my grandfather John Henry Holder. That is why she (Clara) is not on the 1910 census with L.A. French and Cecil.
Just trying to fill in some blanks for you.

You are so very welcome. I'm glad you're pleased. Sometimes there is a much bigger story when photos are taken of the entire plot and all those in it. Have a nice weekend.

|Jax ||RE: James Arthur Jordan|
Actually I just went back though my notes and was reminded of one thing that struck as incredibly unusual about Mr. Jordan that I'd never seen before. This is how I know for sure I double checked with the cemetary staff to be sure he had no headstone. His manner of death of "carcinoma of the right tonsil". I'd never heard of that before and the staff and I discussed what an unusual manner of death, seemingly easily preventable. Again, I'll try to take a photo of the burial card. I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to because technically it's priveledged info, but I've developed a nice relationship with the cemetary staff. It's a very small cemetary. Their records are still on index cards in a filing cabinet! No computerization at all. So I have to manually look up each burial. It's almost like going to the library 40 years ago. Most cemeteries are computerized now, but Glenhaven is still small, personal and a bit behind the times. It's a lovely final resting place.

It is disappointing not to have a grave stone as a visual. What I can try to do, I'm not positive the cemetery will let me, make a copy of his burial card so you have a visual confirmation of every bit of info you can glean from his burial records, which can possibly lead you in a new direction of research and hopefully learn a little about your grandpa that way. I'll do my best

|OutOfMyTree||Willis Russell Skaggs|
Hi... just thought you'd like to know about a typo concerning Willis Russell Skaggs, Memorial# 61776781. Summary states his birth year as 1874. However, his tombstone photograph shows his birth year to be 1871. This is supported by his death certificate. Thanks for your hard work! / Tricia

I found an article in the Lafayette (IN) Daily Journal about Dr. Fowler's death. It might be helpful if you are researching him. I've posted it on the memorial, but will remove it if you want me to. The date of the paper is in the caption. Amy H.

Who would I be to complain about the length of time it took for you do me a favor???
Thank you for your generosity in transferring Caroline Elizabeth "Lizzie" Cox Johnston to my care.
I have connected her with family and siblings (she had nine younger brothers) and two stepmothers.
As I receive more information, I will add it to Our shared memorial.
Hoping you are recovering relative pain-free following your surgery. Do not rush to get back on it too soon...the voice of experience here. Great time of year to let people take care of you.
Happiest of holidays to you and yours.
With sincerest appreciation,

|Teresa D||Samuel Sidney Moore (38963587)|
Carole I got notification of the added picture to the original memorial. I'm wondering if you've had any luck getting 4losthistory to try to make the children's connections to his memorial or delete his in favor of your more complete memorial. Of course you know my position on this, as I think he should make an exception this one time for the benefit of all. Either way it would be nice to see one memorial for Samuel Sidney Moore as no one should have two memorials, as it will screw up the time space continuum or something along those line. Just kidding on the last part of course. Who doesn't appreciate a little humor with little being the key word here. Ha ha.
Hope all is well with you and once again I thought I'd take this opportunity to thank you for your work on the Moore family. I can't thank you enough. Hope to work with you again soon on findagrave.

Thanks Carole for updating Nina Susan Noell Moore.
Let me know if you got my message about Susan (Moore) Kirkland Garrett. I sent you an email about who I suspect her second husband to be and also the corrected information to put in her bio, so it links to her other memorial.
I'm so happy we work so well as a team.

I just know how much work goes into it, and then after all of that work someone tells you it was a duplicate. URGGG! I only found them because I took tons of photos there this week and I was going down the list to see who needed a photo posted and/or memorial made.

Her husband, Asa Stephens, is buried in Paw Creek. I have seen his grave but there is no marker for her there. I suspect either Paw Creek with him or Pleasant Grove with her Dunn family. I thought I might call both churches to see if they have it on record. Asa was the brother of my gggg grandfather.

|Becky and Ken Dalton||Noell cemetery photo requests.|
I have your requests on file, and had hoped to shoot them this weekend. However, there has been a death in that family and a burial this weekend so I will be a bit delayed in filling your requests out of respect for the family. Thank you for your patience in this matter.

I didn't have time to fulfill the rest of your requests. I got rained out twice. I was only in Oxford for one day, but will be back up there at the end of April.
I did get some you didn't request and will be adding the pictures later.
