Thank you for your edit requests.

Albert - Please share a death certificate or other official document with me to prove his exact date of death and location as I have been unable to verify your request through resources I have available to me.

Laura - Please share official documentation with me that states her middle name as I have been unable to verify it. I did find multiple family trees with a middle name, but most of them say Lona while others say Lena or Lonie

RE: Root Photo Requests
You're welcome. No, I'm just telling you we looked in the area where John Root and Earle Root were buried and didn't see another other Roots. I called Todd at the Heritage Association (309-927-3899). He said Ralph Waldo Root is buried in Lot 43, but had no indication of Lot Numbers for Betsy and John Root Jr. I asked if they were in unmarked graves, and he didn't have that information. He confirmed John Jr.'s mother is buried there, so I added memorial and sent you edit to link them. If you have further questions, you could call the Heritage Association.

Root Photo Requests
FYI -- My husband and I were in Bishop Hill Cemetery yesterday and looked for your Root photo requests. We found Earle Root (1890 - 1963) and John Root (1882), and I created memorials for them. Earle was buried to the left of John Root (as facing their markers).

Mine is the earlier one. Please contact the creator of the later post to transfer their grave photos; the later entry is the one that should be deleted. Thanks.

Dear Tom,
Thanks for checking on the "R" in her name. I too like primary sources and so many on-line trees are full of errors.
I agree that we should leave it "R" for now. Do you want to go in and "X" / delete this proposed edit?
THANKS!!
TB Willis

Greetings:

I received your proposed edit on her name.

Many errors are occurring on memorials due to inaccurate "Edits." Please provide a source or sources (such a book, will, obituary, census record, birth/death certificate, or family Bible record) for any changes on these memorials. Linking or changing a memorial will be done only when a verifiable source is provided.

Thank you for your help documenting this change!

Her will was in probate in Florida in Nov 1923. She was living in NY with Kate Hart (friend or relative) in the 1920 census.

2 Josephine Sadeckis...too funny. This one was inside and I really didn't get a good photo. I wonder if they're related.
Sorry for the mix up. I didn't every look at the birth years.

AUGUSTANA LUTHERAN CHURCH
Hi Tom!!
I thought I should ask you to add to the info on the Augustana Lutheran Church formerly in White Rock, SD. The RATA moved this Church to the Threshing Bee grounds on the East side of Rosholt, SD a few years ago. The RATA members have done some repairs to the building as well as placing it on a foundation. The members have been keeping the Church is beautiful condition and services are held there at certain times during the year. A Sunday morning service is held there on the Threshing Bee weekend with local Pastors conducting the services. The Church building is open for "lookers" during the Threshing Bee but the sanctuary is roped off and no one is allowed inside. A precaution to keep the interior in excellent condition. The interior is beautiful to see with the original carved wood works restored to original condition.

The markers for William and Lucille are the same. One says husband, the other wife.

Could William have been married to Lucille before or after Bessie?

Either Lucille is not buried at Sunnylane or the death date was never added to the marker.

Let me know what you find.

You requested a photo for the above grave which I am adding. Your note indicated that she should be buried next to her husband and that his marker had already been photoed. Please note that in this cemetery the spouses share the same plot and when the second spouse dies, the marker is replaced with a new marker.
I have no idea what they do with the old ones!

Sorry, Tom, I don't recognize your sister's name. However, Armand's name pops up from time to time. I seem to remember he's written some letters to the editor of the Topeka Cap-Journal.

I have updated their pages in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka, KS. I realized as I was entering the info that I worked with Myrtle from 1969-1972 at Belvoir Elementary. Topeka is such a small town!

Hi Tom,
I fixed the picture - sorry about that. From my phone they post sideways so I stopped posting them that way. The photo limit has been reached but maybe someone can delete the generic cemetery pic so an older pic of him can be added.
Thanks - Chris.
