38766231 John Forgatch
John was killed in C.W.& F. Coal Mine #1. He was squeezed between the rib and empty mine car. He was 18 years old. This info is from clipping in Daily American Newspaper dated Jan 4, 1926. Very tragic and sad, Kaye Harkins McClintock #47734417

incorrect date of death on tombstone
This is just informational. The date of death on the tombstone at Holy Cross Cemetery in Joliet for Andrzej Wisniewski is incorrect. It states death year as 1909 when in fact the death year was 1910. Andrzej is my granduncle and died in a swimming accident. I do not know how the mistake was made as this predates me by decades. I do have a death certificate and newspaper articles to verify the correct date as August 13, 1910.

Hi Bruce,

I realized I had responded to the wrong person (you), rather than to a person asking you a question on your page. Sorry to confuse.

Hi, I was photographing headstones in Joliet and noted you have someone listed as Maria E. Kuban but her headstone states Mary Kuban. I am new to this and didn't want to change anything unless I go thru you. Just a fyi! Thanks, Lisa

Hello. I was wondering if you had any further information on John Hritz at Mount Calvary Cemetery. I believe he could be a relative. I'm looking for information on his Parents . ( POssibly Mike and Mary Hritz. They lived in Streator Ill, for quite some time.

Best Regards,
Denise F

I just sent a note to the creator of this memorial - this is a duplicate. The first lists maiden name. Thought I'd let you know so you could move the photo.

RE: Bajt Memorials
I am not sure which is correct. I have seen errors with SSDI as well as the Herald Snooze so I guess I'd say, "Flip a coin". Sorry.

Happy to help! Two of the markers were fairly well covered in mud & wood chips though. I missed one you requested that I'll re-shoot later this week.
