I am slightly confused. Mercy Bradford also has a Memorial at the Old Burying Ground in Kingston with a headstone. The number is 39862510

Susan Collender
Abigail Kirkman Smith place of death
Hi, Joan--During the Wisconsin trip when I took the photos of Abigail's and Stephen's tombstones at Oxford, I also visited the State Historical Society in Madison and found her death notice in the Kilbourn (now Wisconsin Dells) newspaper. It said she died from "an internal cancer." She was still married to Stephen Miller at the time. This squares with what Frank Howard Smith had told my grandfather and father...that the family (Stephen and Abigail, Clifford and Frank) had moved to Kilbourn after losing their land in Marquette County.

DAR Applications: National Number: 531253
National Number: 256273 both have Susannah Brockway Petts death date as April 16, 1837 and James's death date as April 6, 1837. I will need to send a copy of the photo's to Nationals to get this corrected.

RE: Susanna Petts
There are three photos on this page. The first one states she is the wife of James and that she died in 1837. The third one also says she is the wife of James and died in 1819. They can't be the same person.

Susan Petts
I believe that there were two Susannah Petts buried here and they have been combined into one page. See the two photo's on her page. The Susan Brockway who married James Petts died in April 1837. Her tombstone picture is on the page. Her husband James also died in 1837. The other Susan died in 1819. Would it be possible to make another page for that Susan?

His parents are listed as Michael F and Josephine (Boudrot) Heath

Capt James Howard
Dear Joan,
I am somewhat confused. I have found Capt James Howard at Burial Hill and at Oak Grove Cemetery. Both burials have headstones and plot numbers. Can you determine where he and his wife are actually buried? One headstone can be read very clearly showing both the Captain and his wife Hannah Churchill. The other can't be read but there is an epitaph record stating it is for Captain James Howard at Burial Hill.
The other site is at http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=86027124&ref=acom

Reg Thompson
photo of grave?
Joan,

Could you take photo of the grave of Elizabeth Churchill no. 44253297, and her sister Sarah Churchill no. 44254985. Also if you could connect to their parents William Churchill no. 125085237, their mother Sarah (Rider) Churchill. Both parents are buried behind them without at gravestone. This can be proven in hand written Massachusetts Vital Records 1620 - 1988. Or if know someone who could do it.

Thank You,

Reg Thompson

Joseph Rounsevel 1796-1858
I forgot to mention that Joseph 1796-1858 and his wife Betsey lived and raised their family in Coos County NH, which isn't close to Washington NH. Joseph 1796-1858 did die in Unity, NH, which is close to Washington. Although both her parents had passed in recent years, Betsey and her youngest daughter moved to Vermont after Joseph's death.

Joseph Rounsevel
Joan I'm hoping you can help with a memorial you added.

Joseph Rounsevel 1796-1858 is listed as buried at the Old Cemetery, Washington, Sullivan, NH. I put in a photo request October 2014 to confirm that this is the right Joseph. This Joseph and his siblings were born to Royal & Betsey Roundsevel in Unity, Sullivan NH. Joseph was married to Betsey Laughton 1796 VT -1868 VT. I cannot locate his wife's memorial, but the daughter who moved with her to Vermont is buried in Vermont. Parents Royal & Betsey are buried in Quaker City, Sullivan, NH.

Joseph Rounsevel 1737-1796 is the pioneer to the New Hampshire area, originally from Massachussetts. Royal is his son and Joseph 1796-1858 is his grndson. I have not been abe to locate the burial for Joseph 1737-1796. I find it strange that he isn't buried at Old Cemetery with his other family members and given he was a prominent figure in Washington. I have not been able to locate the burial of Joseph 1737-1796 second wife also Royal's mother Bathsheba Holmes Rounsevel 1743 MA-1772 MA. I'm thinking Bathsheba is likely buried in Massachussetts. Joseph is not buried with his first wife Charity Spooner Rounsevel 1731 MA-1766 MA, the mother of Phebe and Alden W buried at Old Cemetery.
Joseph Rounsevel was known as Joseph Rounsival Esq in New Hampshire and was politically and physically active for the benefit of Washington. His name was supposed to be inscribed on the City Hall, but I don"t know if that one still stands.

Any ideas for find the burial of Joseph 1737-1796?

RE: Sarah Ann
Joan, that must have been a change someone sent in that I approved. I get too many to check them all, so unless something seems crazy, I usually make suggested changes. That being said, I think your right, so I changed her maiden name to Bogert.

Joan --
My paternal grandmother's father, Harrison Otis Barnes (1844-1914), is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, according to findagrave.com -- in Plot 586. You are listed as the person who created the photo and information. Can you tell me how to find this Plot? I'll be up there about September 25 or so. You can call me at home in Arlington, Virginia, at (703) 533-0756, or e-mail me at jbleonard@verizon.net.

Thanks a lot!

Hannah
Hello, Joan,
I am assuming you are a descendant of Zouria (Hannah) Pulis, and if so I am happy to find you. I have never been able to locate any descendants of Daniel and Susannah Hanna/Hannah of Somerset Co PA and Linn Co IA.
My ancestor, Catherine (Hanna) Shultz lived and died in Somerset County and I believe she was a sister of Daniel's.
Have you had a DNA test? I'd love to see if we match as cousins. Since Catherine is my 3g grandmother, we might be 5th cousins.
I think their parents were Alexander and Juliana (Perkey) Hanna, which is seen in Daniel having children with each of these names, as well as a Catherine.
I would welcome any information on Hannah/Hanna ancestors.
Your,
Kathy Alvis Patterson
