RE: Louiza Jane Greer
I think you should include the info about her marriages in her bio -- eventually over time the info will be lost. In this case Greer would also be her last name. Just a suggestion. Thanks.

You're very welcome. I'm thinking that there is no date of birth on this stone. If it was there, it should be above the death date. There are no other Shepherds buried there. The family must have moved on.

Bobby, The gentleman who went looking in that area had said he thought there were two old cemeteries with piles of rocks in that area when he was a boy, in the 1950's. He can't find anything now.

I updated Dempsey & Priscilla's memorials.

Does Dempsey show up in Wake of Johnston Co. records after the county split in 1770/1771? I have notes on some records but not what county they were in. It appears he continued to associate with Johnston Co. even though most of his land was in Wake. If I can track down tract info maybe I can pinpoint the land he owned. That is indeed where Priscilla perished, but Dempsey went on to Burke, as you know.

I'm constantly evolving with genealogy & updating myself often. lol Better to work through it than just post a bunch of hooey. :)

Hi Bobby, No, there is no marker there now but I have recently ordered one, a black granite one with laser engraving. I'll place it next time I'm out that way. I can't wait to get pictures of it.

Thanks for this info! I had thought it was Wilkins since his fathers name was James Wilkins Welch after his mother. I will make changes & list your note.

RE: William Hooper Creamer
Well ignore my last question about DeKalb County......I see now you did list Georgia at the top of the information (brain freeze on my part I guess)!

RE: William Hooper Creamer
Did you get this information from his death certificate? Usually the burial location is entered on the death certificate.

I assume you are talking about DeKalb County, Georgia and not DeKalb County, Alabama?

RE: Eunice Alice Moore Creamer
Do you know where William H. Creamer is buried?

Added by akita256 on Sep 06, 2011 4:17 PM

RE: Eunice Alice Moore Creamer
Well I know there are many unmarked graves in the cemetery.

I looked to find evidence of another grave near the marker for Genie Creamer but there was nothing at all but bare ground on all sides. But she still could be buried there.

There is another large cemetery in Trion called West Hill, but it is much newer. I don't think they began burials there until the early 1950's. So if she died in 1928 she would probably have been buried in the Trion Cemetery if she was buried in Trion.
