Hi Sherry, I do not maintain Erastus G Davidson's memorial. You would have to ask the one who dose. F. Hylton

|Judy Llamas||Daughertys & Bucklands|
We corresponded a little while ago, and you graciously gave me permission to use your photos of the Bucklands and Daughertys. I am Martha Compton Buckland's 1st cousin, 4 times removed. My families in Falls Mills are the Comptons, Belchers, Johnsons and Tabors. Glad you are continuing to add to "Find A Grave." I learn something every day! I know nothing about the Marrs Cemetery. In fact I didn't know it was there until you told me about it. I live in Florida, so can't get there to investigate on my own. Let me know if you need anything from me.

There was a photo glitch when you added the nice picture of William's gravestone - double photo. Can you delete one?

|Marsha Peery||John David Peery' photo|
I have 3 pictures of the Chas Henry Peery family. None of the people, identified as John David in these photos, resemble your picture of John David #25906954.
I recently got these photos from the Tazewell Genealogy Library. One is a 4 generations photo of Glen Clay, Glen Clay Jr, John David & Charles Henry taken about 1925, submitted by Josephine Thompson Peery. Another of Charles Henry Jr & John David, submitted by Clay Peery. The 3rd one is a family portrait in front of their North Tazewell home in 1896, submitted by Letitia Duvall.
I could send the ones I have to you, for you to compare, if you can give me your email. Would like to find out if my pictures are in error.

Hi Sherry, Thank you for the great photos for Fred and the family plot. That was really swift that you caught that his name was inscribed on the top.

thanks for the response. Since the Shelfer Cemetery was so well manicured, it never crossed my mind to look anywhere other than the manicured area. Thanks for taking the extra effort and locating Courtney. I did notice, that the person requesting the photo was not in the U.S. (forget which country now, but believe it was a Scandinavian one).
I have gone through all of the Find A Grave memoriams and have made a list of all those that don't have a photo.
Would you be interested in the two of us going there one day and seeing if we can find the rest of them?

I went to the Shelfer Cemetery in Havana and did not locate this headstone. In looking at the photo you took, can you tell me "where" you found it? The reason I'm asking is that it looks like it's in some type of underbrush and the Shelfer Cemetery I was in is completely mowed with no underbrush.
Is there another area there?
I came up from Tallahassee on US27 in to Havana and turned right, heading east, about a mile or so.....the cemetery was off to the right before the "washed out bridge".
I took a couple of dozen photos that day and uploaded them. There are still lots to be photographed, but it appears there must be another area.
Please let me know.

Thank you, Sherry, for alerting me to the fact that the photo I had on Robert Sr's memorial was that of his son. I've deleted it. Thanks, again, so much.

I don't know where the picture came from, but I think it is from online someplace. Do you want me to remove it?

It was my pleasure to take the pictures for you.
I have never been to the Marrs Cemetery, but a friend of mine has. He told me of the terrible condition of Rev. Daugherty's grave. He just emailed me a copy of his obituary.

Sherry, I don't have a photo, but I do have more information on him if you'd like it. His death date was actually 20 jan 1839, and he was born 1 Jan 1758. Married twice, first to Mary (or possibly Elizabeth) Hall, no children, then to Margaret "Peggy" Walker in 1795. They had 7 children. If you would like any more information, let me know.
