RE: attempt to get photo of headstone - Alexander Hamer
I'm sorry I couldn't do more for you, but I have done that entire cemetery and worked on it for 7 years. The stones there are the only ones I could find. Also check the unknown ones because maybe you can see something I don't in the engraving. He could be one of those. I think I found 15 of them that I can't transcribe.

Have a great day!

RE: Delilia Phillips-Walker
Very good question and the absolute reason why I was on this quest us to figure out which Shirley Delilah married. Their daughter Ary Shirley-Deen has a descendant, Larry Deen, I think could potentially solve this for us(?) His email is no longer any good from the old posts he and on Ancestry staring he has info. I sent all afternoon into the wee hours of the morning searching for his identity. Everyone seems to thinks it's a William or Richard Shirley RELATED to the Richard Shirley who died in Captain Phillips' army. Bonnie Shirley-Amery descends from Delilah from William Henry Shirley who went to Missouri. I've been helping her and my late Mother Betty Shirley, found of the Shirley Association has a long bio about William Henry Shirley. Bonnie has DNA for her late father. We're trying to solve it!!

RE: Re: Alexander & Bertha Hamer
I'm glad I could help

I went ahead and transferred Alexander Hamer to you to manage since your family to him and his wife.

If I find out anything else I will send it along to you. I occasionally go up to the Genealogical Society and I'll keep my eyes out for them.

Have a great Day!!

RE: Photo of headstone for Alexander & Bertha Hamer
Hi, yes they are buried in the Greenwood cemetery, but there is no stone for Alexander, Bertha or son Chester. Also there is no stone for Alexander's sister Florence Ethel Hamer Salkeld.

I have gone through Funeral Home records, newspapers, death certificates and walked that cemetery since 2009. If there is no picture for the memorial then it would be because there is not one found. I have gone out at different times in the seasons as well to see if I can uncover any "lost" stones that maybe buried by brush or overgrown flowers and trees.

I was wondering if you were related maybe you could add some information to the memorials?

I see the city you are from is Arroyo Grande? I lived for many years in Morrow Bay and worked in San Luis Obispo. What a small world huh?

Hopefully I have been able to help you some with these memorials? Let me know

I found them through the local funeral home books. I've been trying very hard to update this cemetery and I jyst can't believe how mang stonds are missing. But there are also a few stones that are to weathered to read. Check on those in Greenwood maybe you might spot something? Are you related?

Glad I could help. Always like walking through cemeteries looking at the names and wonder who those people were.

RE: Photo of grave site of Missouri Knox?
Did you click picture? Caption on pic is only way photographer has of adding info.

There are no other headstones in the lot. Assuming she is here (which would certainly make sense), then she has no headstone remaining.

I did not search the entire cemetery and have no access to cemetery records. I was just visiting my gg grandparents.

I was wondering if you are not a relative then you might consider transferring the following names to me? I am a relative of the Clutinger family and to Mary Hedden Thompson.

Thank you,

Thank you for the encouragement. I'll probably run by Forest Hills again this weekend if not later today.

I saw in your profile that you occasionally are in PA. If you ever happen to be in the Lancaster area (PA/NY border) and have the time, I'd appreciate a pic of my great-grandfather's stone in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, NY.

OK, then it didn't let me post the second one. The photo for Ng is the same as the one for Mary. Their names are on the same stone. The stone for Robert is in the same plot as is a stone for Edward (father) and Larry (son) as it is marked. I figured they must be related as well and thought you would like to have those as well.

If you go to William Sr.'s page, can you delete her from there? He is # 30616500.
