Did you see the Talley's I added on FIG? They are in the Mineral Baptist Cemetery.

Hi Roy. I think we communicated awhile ago. Yes, I am married to James and would also like Virginia's - I had thought I sent that one also.

I have found so many pictures from the Talley and Wood family. It's going to take a long time to get them sorted, scanned and uploaded.

I still haven't started a tree on this branch on Ancestry yet. I keep finding more 'hints' on my side.

RE: Harry Alfred Blay
I have a listing of the graves in Palmetto, prior to 2001 and Harry Alfred Blay is not listed. Whenever I photograph the family plots I usually identify all the people there, including any that are unmarked. Here is what I found on, but doesn't show his burial location:

Harry Blay, "Georgia, Death Index, 1933-1998"
Name: Harry Blay
Event Type: Death
Event Date: 29 Jan 1943
Event Place: Glynn, Georgia
Registration Date:
Gender: Male
Age: 56
Race: W
Birth Year (Estimated): 1887
Record Type:
Certificate Number: 3102

Maybe this will help. There is also a cemetery office that have all the records and may be able to help, if you call. It is operated by the City of Brunswick. The list I have from before 2001 is their list and it is available on their Internet site.

RE: Benjamin Franklin Newton
Please contact PL to have him removed. I didnt add him so I cannot. I did miss PL already had Uncle Sam (Edward Lee Trinkle Newton) a memorial so I will have to send corrections to him and remove mine. Grandaddy Newton was only recently transfered to me and I havent had a chance to fully "clean up" links.
I appreciate your bringing this to my attention as I am trying to get my family properly linked on findagrave.

This memorial was created by the person who maintains the cemetery records. It indicates unmarked which means there is no marker. In those days many were marked with field stones and even something of wood. Over time they disappear. So, a photo request will not produce a marker of some kind. I know this person on a personal level and I normally go to her in finding markers. She will tell you the same. I would withdraw it.

Roy, I live in Culpeper and until I became a member of Find A Grave I had never been to the National Cemetery here. It is so well cared for and truly a beautiful place. I'm happy to have been of help. Martha

RE: Matilda Talley Kirby
I was only too happy to help for Matilda was related to my husband's family through her husband Mason. Matilda & Mason's sons, Theadore & William, married Ida Almond. Ida was the daughter of Zachariah Almond & Catherine Enfield, who was my husband's mothers grandparents. My husband's mother was Essa May Almond, daughter of John & Burzetta Larkins Almond. John and Ida Almond were siblings. I was out decorating graves Wednesday and Barnes City was one of the towns I went to for my mother's brother and his family are buried there and in fact Matilda's monument is near where they are buried. Have a beautiful day.

Roy, you are so welcome for the photos. So sorry that Ellen's stone did not come out more readable. If we get back there we will try to take a better photo, but it is a hard one to see even when standing directly in front of it. Judy

Thanks. The county of location has recently changed as it has been reading Spotsylvania County, Virginia for years. Someone apparently has had it changed recently.

I did not create the cemetery on Find A Grave and cannot correct it. I am checking to see if they have a contact to do this correction.

Mann family
I noticed there were several other Manns without headstone photos so I worked all of the missing ones while I was there this afternoon. Second Branch is near a Scout Camp where I spend a lot of my weekend time as Canmpmaster.
