|Barbara Hinder||RE: Charles Fitzsimmons|
Hello! My email has changed so I am sorry that I did not get your message until now. We are related through the Durham family. "Aunt Jane" Ward Durham was my grandmother's sister. My grandmother was Irene Estelle Ward Hetrick married to Rueben Hetrick. Charles H Ward was her mother Ella Gertrude Mullikin Ward was her mother. Jane and Irene's brother was Charles Fitzsimmons Ward. This family is buried at Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Joppa, Md. If you are on ancestry.com then you are welcome to view my Hinder family tree. I have done my DNA and we are somehow through the Ward family related to Eliza Ward's descendents. My tree is a work in progress. I do not think that Aunt Jane's great grandfather is Joseph Ward as it states on my tree but there are several links to him. I get off track at Aunt Janes' grandfather J. Thomas married to Sophia Bramble. I am not sure who his parents are. Through DNA I am trying to figure out this link. Hi James, Not sure if you have seen it before but there is a reference you might want to take a look at. I've just sent a bio to you that includes the source at the bottom and I've also extracted a photo and posted it. I'm looking for Sailor connection to Peter Sailor and the Harry family. Feel free to contact me Capt. Thanks for your contributions to Find A Grave.

Yes, on the majority of documents it is spelled "ll". I only found one with a single "l" but I am familiar with the name and 2 "l's" is correct.

They look the same, but I'm almost positive they're not. I just checked my un-cropped photos and it looks like they're the same style of obelisk with another little stone between them.

I've recently dug out an 1860's photo album that Mather said were from the platter side. My 2x great grandmother was married to Chas. H. Platter.
These pictures are from Chillicothe, Carrollton, Breckinridge, MO.
And one from Quincy, I'll. Several are unmarked therefore are copies. Mostly heavy set women in full skirts, men in union uniforms and men in typical dress.
Theres even one of " The Wild Men of Borneo" w/their manager. I've always wondered about that one. The original is currently listed on eBay and it is stamped Quincy, Il. too.
Please contact me if you are interested. Some are probably Harry members.

|Larry Veach||RE: Ada Ball Harry|
James, Ada's maiden name was Wright. She married Thomas C. Ball on March 4, 1908 in Mercer Co., WV. It is only from that source could I find her maiden name and parents. Her death certificate did not include that information. Thomas died in 1923. She and Emmett Hannibal Harry lived together but were never married. Together they had Virginia Mae Harry in 1924. Virginia married John Borich, and had 2 children, Sharon and Johnny who live on the original Harry farm. It is on their property where the Harry Cemetery is located. Sharon is interested in the Harry family history, and was quite helpful to verify my discoveries. Larry

I'm not sure if the gravestone was buried in the ground or not. I do know Nancy did dig several gravestones up at the Brunswick City Cemetery. Then she cleaned them. They are very heavy to work with.
You would have to hire someone that works with gravestones to set it up for you. It would have to be set on a base.
I'm not even able to lift them anymore.
Sorry I can't help you.
Have a great day.

|Adriana||RE: Gertrude M. Harry|
There are no other "Harry" surnames at Gridley/Biggs in Find A Grave. However, the following Harry surnames show up on the database for G/B Cemetery, but I do not know if they are related:
Harry, Alvin L. 06/17/1969
Harry, Festus Omega 05/18/1960
Harry, Gertrude M. 00/00/1925
Harry, Vera V. 08/02/1968
You can link into the G/B burials (by surname, alpha and date) by going to Burials on the Web at:
Good luck in your further searching.

I've gone up the road looking for it on two different occasions. For the life of me I have not been able to locate it. My next step is to visit funeral homes listed in obituaries to see if they can give me an exact location. Do you have any ideas?

|Judy Llamas||Harry Cemetery - Mercer Co., WV|
I've noticed that the interments have been removed from this cemetery. (?) This Harry Cemetery is located at latitude 37.309048, longitude -81.115365. It is 2 miles SW of Glenwood (probably east of Green Valley?). To get to it, go east on Clover Dew Dairy Road. Just before Stone Mt. Drive diverges to the left, the cemetery is on your right in a patch of woods behind a cleared field. There are many family cemeteries in Mercer County - probably where the families had farms. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure that the Falls Mills Christian Church across the street from the cemetery takes care of it.
