St. Peter's request
Hi Jennifer,
I'm happy to try and fulfill your request for the St. Peter's burial.

Would you have the information for the location of the grave? Section, Row, plot...

I can't make it to the cemetery during their business hours to obtain the information, but I can take the photos on weekends.

Should you need to call the cemetery, their number is 718-442-2363.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Christine

Oh, yes... No worries. I just need to coordinate with the office to make sure it's OK with them...

Janet, I am going to do a little more work with these stones. If I get permission, I'll do a rubbing or a foil cast. Perhaps that will give more detail from the stone.

RE: Fritzer Graves at ND
It looks like Adaline was an infant when she died. Buried next to J. Fritzer (b. 1836). They are not near John and Barbara, nor are they near the flat stones John J./ Theresa and fam.

Well, they are big huge files. I just tried to send one to your email... but it kicked back to me. Hmmm. If you sign up for a free gmail account, I think I could email them. But google documents may work anyhow. I will put them in a folder an invite you.

My son took some high def pictures of the Fritzer graves. You can read more of the inscriptions. Do you want them? If you use dropbox or google docs I can share them.

RE: Fritzer
Hi Janet-

NO problem at all, to all requests. Cedar Grove is Notre Dame, and I teach at Saint Mary's...
I am going to get my son (a filmmaker) to shoot John's grave in high def. at various times of day. We may have to step on the grave, which is very taboo to the Germans, but perhaps he'll forgive us. Same for Barbara, though I think I can get a careful rubbing so I can read the stone. (Hers is not as fragile ).
Others in Cedar Grove:
John J. 1838-1930
Theresa (his wife) 1842-1919
Martha 1876-1911 (I think)
Rose O. Fritzer 1868-1906
Leo – rose's husband?
(Stones are in great shape; My camera was low and angle is bad. I will shoot all of these and post. If you want you can create the memorials . If not I'll make em and transfer.
USE ALL my shots wherever you like.

It was my pleasure. There are other Howes there, I added his wife and a couple others.
I don't mind you copying as long as you are related and I am credited in the copy.
Gary :)
