The tombstone photo was not available when I posted this individual. I have changed the date of death. I imagine that Dec 30 was probably the date of burial. Thank you for the updated info.

I'm not sure which birth date is correct. We usually go by the date on the marker. We did not create this memorial. I would message the person who manages the memorial. Maybe they know more. Sorry I could not be of more help.

You left a message for me regarding Andrew Ash saying that the death year was wrong. If you will pull up his entry and click on the headstone picture to make it bigger you will see that the death year on the stone is the same as on his entry.

|Nan Harvey||Eleanor/Ellen Forgey Tyree|
There are discrepancies in the date of birth for Ellen. She was listed as age 14 in the 1850 Scott County, Virginia census where she was with her parents Archibald Forgey and Eleanor Roller Forgey. Then after her 1859 marriage to William Tyree she was listed as age 21 in the 1860 census, the same age as William. And by 1870, as you found, she was five years younger than her husband. I've stuck with the 1836 because that was the earliest I've found and I assumed one of her parents gave the info to the census taker.
I do thank you for the suggestion. The more accurate we can get these records the more help they will be.

I must admit that I cannot make out the entire line either. I am pretty sure the last word is "grave". I will probably be going that way next September and, if so, I will check the stone again.

|Albert C. Pace||Willis H. Fountain|
Jack, Sorry to say I can give you no answer to your question as to the two locations. I surveyed the Union Cumberland Church location in Dec 2006 and the second entry was made by another person in January 2014. PROBABLE??? She was working from records and found he was buried in Union Church Cemetery, Boone County and found only one Union Church Cemetery in the records, however the proper name of the cemetery in which Fountain is buried is Union CUMBERLAND PRESBYTERIAN Cemetery, Riggs, Boone County under the name of W. H. FOUNTAIN, not Willis H.
However, I am going to enter the additional information provided in your note to update the memorial in Union Cumberland.
Are you related to Fountain? Please answer to email@example.com or 217-627-3657. If you are related I will be more than happy to transfer management of the memorial to you.

The obituary listed on his memorial is all of the obituary that was transcribed in Tid-Bits Volume I. There may have been more but you would have to go to the microfilm to read it and I do not have access to the microfilm.

I never thought about listing the newspaper, date, volume, etc. before. Will do so in the future. I won't be back to Valier until next Fall to get the info you want. If you need it sooner you can call the library.
