Hi, Melissa,
I was checking Findagrave today, randomly, to see if anything had been added, and I found this memorial #143374709.
I am traveling out of town, but will try to contact the person who created it when I return home. Just thought you would be interested, too. I'll let you know what I find out.

I hope all is well with you and yours.
Sincerely,
Cousin, Patsy McLaughlin

Family Matters Most
Willam A Watson Memorial# 154659071
Hello Melissa:
There appears to be a William A Watson that was married to Mary with the children Jack, Joel, and Lois D in Mississippi on the census. There also appears to be a William A Watson married to Beryl, children Agnes, Audrey, Tim, Ruth and Doris that lived in Georgia on the census. This memorial is for a William A Watson that was buried in Georgia near where the Georgia William A Watson lived on the census. I am just wondering if there is any possibility the info for the MS William A Watson was attached to the GA William A Watson. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

ANDERSON - Fairfield Co, Ohio
Working on my ANDERSON family from Fairfield Co, OH and I think that mine descended from your listings.
Thomas ANDERSON b. 15 Oct 1787 d. 3 Mar 1859 Lancaster, Fairfield Co, OH; m. 18 Feb 1810 Mary Magdalena MECHLING
Their children (look at the shared and familiar family names):
Levi, James, Jesse, Elijah Samuel Hamilton, Simon Bolivar, Thomas, Mary Ann, Catherine

From 'my' Thomas I have an entire descendant line with all information.

Do you think that 'my' Thomas could have been descended from your Andersons and perhaps not listed. Do you have wills with all of the names of the descendants? Or do you think that because Thomas migrated to Ohio he was not included? Interesting that Capt. Thomas J Anderson died in Fairfield Co, OH. I found the homestead for 'my' Thomas and visited it last fall. It is still in 'the family'!

Visit me on Facebook - Cynthia Nichols Russell or send me an email to FergusResearcher@gmail.com

Alford McCarty Grave
Hello:

I just come across the entry for the grave for Alford McCarty in Jasper County, Mississippi. There are photos for two different headstones/grave markers. One of these looks suspiciously modern for someone who died in 1850. You are listed as maintaining this record. Do you know why there are two tombstones pictured?

Thank you,

Marianne Lorio

I have added a copy of his death certificate to his page - you left no email address in which to send it to you. You can access them yourself for Georgia on - Georgia's Virtual Vault - Death Certificates. They are free and are listed from 1918-1927. They are also on www.familysearch.org. - also free and go through 1938. Hope this helps you in some way.

Sarah Walker McCarty
Hi Melissa - I was very interested in the excerpt of a conversation between you and Judith F. Russell about Sarah's parentage. I am a Walker descendant of Ezekiel Walker and would like to contact whoever said, "It is a good possibility to investigate, rather, the daughter of Ezekiel Walker, brother of Francis Walker." I am an amateur, but have noticed that some articles do not include Ezekiel and Francis as two of the sons of Isaac Walker of Prince Georges Island, MD, and some do. If you are related to Mississippi Walkers also, I would like to know what you have found. Thanks for any help. If I should contact you at a different address for this kind of information, please let me know.

Hi,
I was checking the Monroe Center Plot Map yesterday, and taking photos of headstones. Martha and Samuel are located on the map in lot #51, but they don't have a headstone. I know you didn't request a photo, but thought you might like to know. Kathy

Hi Melissa,
Beats me. I had 12 edits and I processed them together. Just accepted all of them. I didn't have the time to check each one out individually today. One of them had the middle initial C. and the edit had middle name unknown and Maiden name Cooper. I think it was for the same cemetery.

If it is still not correct please let me know.

WENDELL WESTBROOK
GEORGE WASHINGTON ALEXANDER
THANKS MELISSA FOR THE ALEXANDERS.
HERE IS A PROBLEM THAT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT.
GEORGE WASHINGTON ALEXANDER'S HEADSTONE SHOWS DOB AS JUN. 25 1866
1870 CENSUS- 6 YEARS OLD
1900 CENSUS- 35 YEARS OLD
1910 CENSUS- 45 YEARS OLD
1920 CENSUS- 55 YEARS OLD
1930 CENSUS- 65 YEARS OLD
THE CENSUS WAS TAKEN IN THE FIRST FOUR MONTHS OF THE CENSUS YEAR
HE HAD TO HAVE BEEN BORN IN 1864 INSTEAD OF 1866
HENRY LLOYD ALEXANDER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HIS FATHER. WRONG, HENRY LLOYD WAS KILLED IN THE CIVIL WAR BY MILITARY RECORDS DEATH WAS OCT 28, 1862 IN SHARPSBURG, MD. HE IS BURIED IN A MASS GRAVE IN ROSE HILL CEMETERY IN BIBB CO. GA.
SO WITH ALL OF THIS, THE HEADSTONE HAS THE WRONG DATE OF BIRTH. .

THANKS,

Alexander Lawson #46120981
Melissa,
I have a findagrave.com photo request from findagrave member Anne Wyatt for Alexander Lawson #46120981. You created his memorial and have him interred in Clarksville Cemetery. Clarksville Cemetery does not exist. Alexander and his wife are interred in Clarksville Baptist Church Cemetery. There is no memorial for him in that cemetery. I would like to fulfill Anne's photo request but would like to have Alexander's memorial created in the correct cemetery. Could you remove your memorials for him and his wife from Clarksville Cemetery and create new memorials for them in Clarksville Baptist Church Cemetery, Calhoun County, Florida?

Nancy Bennett-Phillips
Hi there,

I see that you are maintaining a memorial for Nancy Bennett-Phillips at the Old Tacoma Cemetery in Tacoma, WA. Her memorial # is: 82903395. Another person had requested a photo of the headstone and I went to the office there today and they said they didn't have any listing for that name. They were looking in their typed up interment books, and their original burial books are at a different cemetery right now on loan. I guess I was just wondering.....do you know of she is indeed buried at Old Tacoma....are do you have any other information?

Thank you,

Chad

RE: Frances R Cabot
I'm sorry, but that's the only version of the picture I have. When we have a high resolution picture to start with, I save the original before cropping and producing a lower resolution version for the website. Unfortunately, sometimes the volunteers who do the shooting only send me the lower resolution cropped version, and often that is they way they take them. I can't remember who did the bulk of the Jenneville pictures, but it appears that I don't have better resolution on most of them.

This is one reason that we encourage people to write up a transcript of exactly what is on the stone while at the cemetery. But not everybody will take the time.

If you see any others in the Hartland cemeteries that you are interested in, let me know and I'll check to see if I have a higher resolution version of the ones you are interested in.

Brad
