RE: Note of Appreciation :
That's wonderful to hear! And my friend who is helping with Mount Jackson Cemetery has deleted the memorial he created. It's really nice to be able to find all one's family members.

Lula transfer
I transferred her to you as I am of no relationship. I came across a list of cemetery inscriptions for st.marys cemetery while doing some family research and just added all the names on the list as they appeared.

Margaret
Lexie Hardesty #11880402
As to your inquiry regarding a daughter listed as Betty L. Hardesty Hash 1927-1971 with no memorial available, I have emailed Find A Grave questioning how this might happen. I did not create the Memorial for Lexie Hardesty; it may have been transferred to me since I do have a distant uncle named Lexie Hardisty (spelled with an i in Hardisty) but these are two different people. I did not add Betty L. Hardesty to the Lexie Hardesty memorial in question. I was able to find through other records that this Betty's husband's name was Floyd Hash and he is listed on Find A Grave with "no cemetery" b. 1923, no death date, and no further info. It is possible Betty's remains were handled in the same way and the contributor who submitted the information did it incorrectly and in such fashion that it didn't make it to Find A Grave list. Hopefully we will receive a reply from Find A Grave explaining. Thank you for your work. I, too, believe it is time well spent.

Hi Raymond,

I stand corrected regarding my statement on the L.A.county crematorium. The unclaimed are not cremated after three years.
" The Unclaimed Dead are usually cremated within a couple of months of date of death, but their cremains are held for up to three years the buried in the common grave".

Donn Rainbolt
Hi Raymond,
If you could call Chapel Hill Cemetery at 616-965-1713 & ask for Donn Rainbolt Lot and grave number, I would be honored to get a picture for you. The cemetery isn't computerized so this information is necessary. Thanks & I'll take the picture as soon as I have the information.

RE: General Info
I attended San G. from '69-'72. I have always been fascinated by this kind of thing because my brother died of leukemia when I was 11 and I spent my childhood going to Mt. View to visit his grave with my parents. I learned how to drive there too. lol
I never knew my dad's side of the family but I did have some of their names. I found my grandmother thanks to Find A Grave. Some people think it is weird, but I find it interesting. Take care.
