RE: Hannah Treanchard
I love this site. It has helped me with my geneology. I would like to get a copy of the records you find to add to the site.

The information you have given has helped me add to Hannah's lineage page.

Thank you

Thanks for the updated information. If you are a relative, I would be happy to transfer this memorial to you. He is not related to me in any way.

Hannah Treanchard
Hi Loren! Thank you for the information on Hannah, she was to my understanding the nurse that took care of my dying Grandmother. Then she married my Great Grandfather.
I would love to know where you found the information on her. I do Genealogy also, and would love to add more to the family tree.

Thank you
Susan Colby

Mary Gardner
I went ahead and accepted the edit and added back in the Yarmouth County for her birth (per her death certificate). Thanks

Would you mind resubmitting your edit for Mary's birth year? The way it is, it will delete her birth place. Also, please delete the edit that says no change... Thanks!

The Brown came from Mary's cemetery record, but it was obviously a mistake, because you're right, all of her records have her listed as Mary Brooks Crosby. They should be all straightened out now... ☺

I've accepted the edit suggestions and have transferred them to your care, since it looks like you're family... Thanks!

Westhaver gravestone photo
Loren, THANK YOU so much for taking the photo of Joshua Westhaver's &family gravestone ! I would probably never have gotten there to get it myself. We have taken road trip vacations to New England several times,as we enjoy the area so much, and I want to visit a cemetery. I have a bunch of people in my family tree that moved to Massachusetts in the early 1900's. I'll have to pick one and go. What a great service this is though. Thanks again ! RE: Ruth G. Fuller Somes
I am honored to complete the memorial for Ruth Somes. If you would like me to pass her memorial into your care, I would have no problem with that. Thank you for helping to complete the missing data.

RE: Leslie Somes
I couldn't find any article and I don't remember sending anything from Wisconsin newspaper. I might have, but I can not find anything there now. Here is our original correspondence about this man. Sorry I can help you more.

RE: Lester Somes
Hi Gwen,
Thank you very much for that information. Now that I have a date, and since he died in Wisconsin, I can get a death record. The was deja vu. This is a paragraph of an obit for his brother, my grandfather: Ralph Somes, a former member of the Melrose Board of Aldermen and a well known resident here for many years, died suddenly from a heart attach Monday while talking to the librarian of the Public Library in Quincy. Mr Somes had called at the library as representative of the F. J. Barnard Company, Bookbimferd, of Boston, where he had been employed for a number of years. The severe gale which taxed Mr. Somes' strength because of a heart ailment, is believed to have contributed to his sudden death
Mr. Somes was 57 years of age . . .
Their brother Norman F. Somes survived a little longer dying at age 77 of cardiac arrest.
Heart disease runs in the family, but modern medicine gives us a better chance. I suffer from congestive heart failure and have an implanted defibrillator. I've attained the age of 81 and hope for a few more good years.
I have been in the process of writing an article on this family for The Essex Genealogist. At present the article poses more questions than it does provide answers; hopefully this will help me find a few more answers.
Thanks again for going beyond the call on my behalf.

I read your thank for the picture and that it did not provide you with any addition information, so I went to the Newspaper Archives and found the following article. This was in a Wisconsin newspaper.
Richland Salesman, Stricken Here, Dies
Leslie H. Somes, 57, Richalnd Center, a salesman for the W. H. Pepkorn Co., Milwaukee, died of a heart attack in an architect's office at 114 N. Carroll St. Monday afternoon.
Mr. Somes was in the second floor office of Weiler and Strang with W.J. Riopelle, Milwaukee, a fellow salesman, when he suddenly was seized by a heavy breathing spell, police reported.
Dr. John C. Moore was called and ammonia funes were administered unsuccessfully. Dr. Moore pronounced him dead.
Dr. David C. Atwood, coroner and Detective Romain York were summoned and Dr. Atwood found that Mr. Somes had died of natural causes.
The body was taken to the Schroeder funeral home and will be taken today to Mason City, IA. where funeral services and burial will be held later in the week from the Major funeral home. This was in the Wisconsin paper on Nov. 30, 1949. I hope this helps you some.
