Kay Brown
John Knight d. 1877
Can you PLEASE put me in touch with the person who provided you with the picture of Mr. Knight. He looks sooooooop MUCH like my great great grandfather Stephen Knight it is scary. Stephen named one of his sons John William Knight. At one point in the late 1870's my John William went to Texas but then returned to TN where he married for the third and possibly fourth time. (He outlived all but his last wife whose name, was ironically, Texas Harris.)
We believe our John William Knight was in Smithfield, TX.

Any help would be very greatly appreciated!!!

RE: David Shelton
I never have just the right words but he (and you) shed so much light on the history of the area and brought back so many memories, I wouldn't have time to tell em all. What I would give to share a pot of coffee with the two of you. David left a legacy to be truly proud of.

RE: Gary Wills
Wel those were some good digs. I still tell the story about you guys locating my great grandparents. The rock and metal rod. Ther aren't enough ways to thank you both for all of the photos, insights, clues and everything. As for the tokens, they have been my honor and privilege to place. Gary and Olin were my 2nd and 3rd friends on findagrave and of course you guys were my 1st. All 3 of you showed me the ropes and where the skeletons were, figuratively speaking. Hot dang my English teachers would be astounded that I can use a 5 syllable word in a sentence. Gary will be missed but, boy, he did his momma proud.

RE: John Hallmark
Do you want me to just upload them with their names or do you want me to email them directly? I am new to all this so I am not sure how everything works.

Hello, just letting you know I transferred your "cousin" to your care, however please note I don't normally transfer outside of Find A Grave guidelines. I maintain all my entries with great devotion and will add, edit, or link, any names upon request.

Looking forward to seeing what new info you may add to his name ...

Mabel Data photo request
Hi, the volunteers would be happy to fill your photo request however we will need a burial location to do so. Can you please contact Laurel Land and get a burial location for your request.

The number is 214 371 1336 or to email them, the link is:

They are good about responding to the email request! There are over 47 photo requests currently and the volunteers cannot ask for that many locations to fill requests. With a location, your request will get filled pretty quickly. Thanks for your help

Ed Stallings
William Crider Stallings
I'm trying to determine if William C. is the father of my grandfather William E. Stallings. In the 1870 census William and Martha have a 3 yr old son Wm. E. in Newtown, Georgia. All I know about my grandfather is that he lived in Lanett, Alabama until his death in 1927.
Would you possibly have any information about W. C.'s second wife and family?
