RE: Thank you!
HI Elizabeth,

I am so happy that you like the photo. My husband and I drove from Ohio to Missouri this past summer to photograph Union Chapel Cemetery, where many of my sister's ancestors (Bookout)are buried.

Many Thanks--@ngel #47774099

RE: Dorothy Ussery
Thank you so much for all you do, in keeping us in touch with our loved ones. I find it very therapudic to be able to visit.

The photo for Dorothy has already been set-up.

If you take the last gate, into the old part of the cemetery, and turn right, (between the new cemetery and the old cemetery) and follow the road until you can turn left, you will see a rather large tree, on your right very close to the road, that is where the family is I love for you to photograph. They are in the section, almost directly across from that tree ( or left, if you are parking beside the tree) They are in a row, all flat headstones. I think that section is marked DD(not for sure).

You will come to: Stella Herrin; Clarence "Joe" Herrin and Virgil Walters. I will send you some information to put on their pages. Just let me know when. I photos too. The Herrin's were married, (they raised me since I was 2 years old, I caught polio, in 1950) My mother had to get a job, she was only 22 and divorced.

Clarence Herrin, "Joe" is what everyone called him. He was 44 years old and never been married. When he married Stella, she was the mother of 12 children, 10 living and 5 boys still at home. Then they took me. He was a very special person, he could cook, clean, iron and have a garden. One of a kind!! They raised all of those kids and had been married abt 27 years when he died.

Probably too much info, I am pretty much home bound and can't take flowers to the graves anymore and I live alone, except for my little doggy. Thank the Lord for my computer and Ancestry.com, or I would really be crazy.

Thanks again

RE: Thank you!
The stone is very well cared for with flowers, so it's clear they are remembered and loved. The names of their children are engraved on the bottom.

Dear Ms Moore,
Thank you so much for taking the time to take the photo of little Dorothy's headstone. I really appreciate it.

Do you normally take photos for Find-a-Grave?
I have several others in the Okmulgee Cemetery, very close to the road and all together.

If you do let me know and I'll give you more information and if not I'll ask the Find-a-Grave
site.

Thank you again,
Linda Gray
