Edward L Scurry
Dear Bunnie,

I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the website:

http://www.ebooksread.com/authors-eng/nellie-browne-duff/the-honor-book-sangamon-county-illinois-1917-1919--official-service-record-ffu/page-31-the-honor-book-sangamon-county-illinois-1917-1919--official-service-record-ffu.shtml

Edward Scurry was a member of this unit.

I'm not sure where I'm going with my project, but I'm hoping to eventually publish something. When I do, would it be permissible to use your photograph of the grave of Edward L Scurry (Find A Grave Memorial# 32485033)?

Thank you!

Hi Bunny,
On my brother's Find A Grave memorial, Jerry A. Minshall, #49753244, you have posted three pictures of his tombstone, which are all the same. Is there any chance you could delete two of the them?

Thank you so much for your attention to this matter.

Raleigh T. Jones
Hello Bunnie,

You manage two memorials for my grandfather's first cousin Raleigh T. Jones (#42019376) and his wife Mary Ethel Coyle Jones (#42019156) at Paynes Chapel Cemetery, Bunker Hill, WV. There are no photos of either grave. I wonder if you have good evidence that Raleigh is buried there.

Raleigh lived until 1945, outliving his wife by about 27 years. I have good evidence that he moved from West Virginia to Columbus, Ohio, with other family members, sometime between 1925 and 1931. There is another memorial for Raleigh (#95766049) in S. Bloomfield, Ohio, just outside of Columbus, which indicates he was buried there in 1945. There is a photo of his tombstone.

Raleigh's sister, Nannie V. Jones, who apparently never married, was also buried there (#95765951) in 1946. Additionally, Raleigh's daughter and son-in-law Nettie Jones and Venning E. Roberts (#95765966 and #95766253) were also buried in the same cemetery in 1973 and 1965, respectively.

I find it a fascinating story that Raleigh's only sibling, his older sister, Nannie, apparently lived with him almost all his 70-yr life. Their partnership lasted much longer than the one with his wife, Mary Coyle, who bore him seven children, but died before their 18th anniversary at the age of 38. The siblings' gravestones in Ohio are even inscribed "Brother" and "Sister."

I would appreciate your help in determining where Raleigh is buried, West Virginia or Ohio.

Regards,
Elliott Jones

Hi Bunnie,

Workking with relative Carla who also messaged you.

The Qui Giage (sic) is Italian for "Here Lies" Giage is a dialect and proper Italian is Qui Giace. The baby's name is Ostinia Rosa Tomini. That translates into "Persistance Rosa Tomini." Her parents were from Atessa, Chieti Italy. There is a word or letters before Atessa that I am unable to read.

This infant would be a half-sister to my gr grandmother, Consiglia Farina and Carla's gr grandfather Nick Tomino. Would you consider transfering this special grave to me?

Thank you,
Patricia

The phrase qui giage means here lies.
I am in the process of trying to figure out if this infant was the child of one of my relatives.
