Joseph E Jackson
Hi Marcella:

I found the obituary and photo of Joseph Jackson that you posted. I am writing to ask your permission to copy the photo. He was my first cousin 2x removed. I would appreciate if you could let me know either way.

Thank you!!!

RE: Sarah Coen-Nussman
Thanks for connecting her.
This site is a great way to meet the extended family and find the stories and information that you wouldn't ordinarily have access to. These items have opened many doors to finding the genealogical questions and putting the family history together. Thanks again.... Laurie M.

Sarah Coen-Nussman
I have a correction on my statement- Mary Jane Thompson was my Great-Grand Aunt. Mary Jane's father, James Hayden Thompson died in 1861 in Hancock County and we're having a hard time tracking down further information. We have a theory that he picked up where Rev. George Thompson left off (running the 'railroad') after Rev. George left Illinois with his wife Martha Cook-Thompson to do missionary work in Africa. Hard to research this stuff when you don't live in the area. Thanks for all you're doing with Sarah Coen-Nussman.

RE: The Nussman's
Thanks so much for connecting her to the family. I have a list (as I know it) of her step-siblings on her parents memorials. Her step-mother, Mary Jane Thompson-Coen is my Great-Great Aunt. If you have any pictures of these people, would you mind uploading them? Little by little I'm finding everyone and connecting them. William Coen, Mary Jane and Sarah moved to Hancock County Illinois in 1854. I have dates for Sarah if you need them. She was born Sarah Jane Coen 29 Nov 1849 in Reddington Township, Jackson, Indiana. Her parents were William Coen and Mariah Springs (1830-1850).

The Nussman's
I was reading the obit of William Finley Nussman I noticed that you also posted a picture of him. Would you happen to have a picture of his wife, Sarah Coen? Is Sarah buried alongside William? I have Sarah's family listed in Round Prairie Cemetery. I would like to link them together. Her father is William Coen. 113204519

RE: Fogle's in Illinois
Jesse's actual name was Jesse Park H Wilhelm. And his wife was Mary Ann Catherine Reidling. I had thought that Jesse and Mary were about the only ones that could be William's parents. With the names of the children being so close to the same.

Jesse and Mary are buried at Cress Hill Cemetery. My husband's 1st wife is a gr-grand-daughter of Jesse and Mary. I have a picture of Mary posted to her memorial. My step-dau found it behind an old picture she got from her grandmother. I think I have a complete listing of all of their children... But best to be sure. Feel free to email me.

RE: Fogle's in Illinois
Actually they are Wilhelm's.. I suppose I will need to go to the courthouse to ask who the parents are for William H Wilhelm... By the names he gave his children I would think perhaps his parents were Jesse Parks Wilhelm and Catherine Reading. But I have never found him with them in the census. If that's not the cas he must be a son of one of Jesse's siblings..

I met Ester Caulk's son Edwin several years ago, before he passed. His brother Marvin lives in Waynesville, MO. Marvin has written a book about the Fogle family. It is very interesting.

To answer your question yes my Grandfather and Charles Wesley were brothers.

I have never seen any pictures of the Fogles other than Charles and Mary that is posted on their grave sites.
