RE: Dearing
No, I'm not related to the Dearing Family but I'd gladly transfer this Memorial to you in case you are and can find a connection!
I added the Memorial from his obituary I came across.
Please let me know if you'd like me to transfer his Memorial to you!

RE: Find A Grave Correction: Adeline Botley‏
Your edit had her husband highlighted in red and if I had accepted it he would have been deleted.
Thus it would have removed accurate information.

RE: Marker
You're very welcome for the photo of Dearings. On second though, it appears that there likely never was a "year" plate put on his marker as both screws are intact. When the plates come loose, both screws will be broken off. The one big problem with bronze markers like this, in colder climates.

Added by Allan on Apr 16, 2016 2:52 PM

Photo taken. Note, however that the year of Clifford Dearings death (2004) is missing and one of the screws on Katharine's year is missing. Unfortunately, this happens too often, especially on bronze markers; water gets under the plate and freezes in Winter, breaking off the screws. If any relatives in the area, perhaps they could look after repairing it. Allan

RE: Clifford Dearing
Just in case that link did not work; here is the obit:

RE: Clifford Dearing
I did find an obit for his wife, Katharine. I could not find one for him, though. FYI, Allan

ps: Karen, (who built his page) asked me if I could help here. Here is the link to her obit:

RE: Clifford Dearing
I should be able to get a photo of Mr. Dearings Marker for you. Its in a rather new section and should have (not all of them do) a marker present. I will be up there in the next day or two; will see what I can do. His wife Katherine is also in the same plot, Section Q, plot 54-7. She died in 2003 and he in 2004. Am sure its the person you were looking for. As for further BIO info on them, that is tougher; since death certificates for those years are not online yet. Perhaps you could search for an obit. thanks, Allan, F.A.G. Photo volunteer Penticton.

BC Archives only shows death certificates to 1993 so I am unable to pull that for you. I have a contact, Allan, who lives in the area and knows the cemetery and many of the people well so have passed your message on. Please request a photo and he'll go look for it as soon as he can. :-) If he has any further info I'm sure he'll contact you. Clifford's name was on the cemetery listing.

RE: Neal
I have no idea why Lucie is on Charles' headstone and Vera is buried alone. Possibly he married Lucie after Vera died. I suggest you call Pine Grove Cemetery and see who is actually buried in those plots. They have good records and are very cooperative. Good luck with your search. Pat Shearer

Effie Lorinda Vice Brown
if Effie was buried in British Columbia, should she not have died in Victoria, British Columbia instead of Victoria, Ontario?

RE: Burial Records site
I don't know if it is secure. I never bought any credits from it, I have only used the index.

RE: Buckley Family
There is a death index available online here:

The record for Fanny Buckley that died in Dec 1915 is listed as being age 70, which would put the birth date at 1845.

RE: Buckley Family
I don't know anything about the people that I entered in Southern Cemetery. I entered them from the burial records index located here:

For a small fee, they will give you more information about individuals listed there. I don't know what kind of additional information is available for that fee, though.
