Thank you Jennifer for the quick reply. He may have been moved, his wife is not buried here. Or they just added him to her stone. Sandi

We have duplicates of this man and his wife. I see that you have a headstone, but do you know if it is a memorial or they actually exhumed the bodies and moved them to your cemetry?
The newspaper death notices and death cert say he was buried here, as does the monument. Any ideas? Sandi

You're welcome! Did you look back at her memorial today? I actually shot the entire niche bank so when I went through the photos I discovery "Parilee Page" and you know that has to be her. Don't know how I missed that when I was standing there, staring at the wall!

Hello! I am about to fulfill your photo request but unfortunately, it is a photo of the Sanctuary's south wall, only. Her niche appears to be one of the ones that does not have a name engraved on it. However, I was unable to get help at the office that would allow me to pinpoint which one. Last Sunday, one of the staff said he would get back to me, but he never did.
As soon as I learn which niche is hers, I will add another photo. I am sorry this was not a more positive outcome.

My mother was a Martin. I accidentally happened upon Cyrus Smurr's obit because he had a son named "Joseph Martin Smurr". When I encounter a clear cut case of a person who has no memorial, I usually take the time to create their memorial. Thank you very much for making this memorial more complete by verifying it with the headstone photo If you happen to be a descendent, or, know of one who would like to assume the memorial, I would be glad to accommodate their wish and transfer ownership to them.

I'm related to all those Nantucket guys....what a mess to try to make a tree with it all. Nevertheless, they are fun and I have the feeling about half the US population could trace back to them....and VA. Always nice to hear from a cousin. If you'd like to send me your direct linek, I'd be delighted to add you to my cousin charts. In return, I'll send you a copy of it and you'll see where I am and how we're related. That's always fun in this gen business....I absolutely love it....thanks for your comment....PH DePoy
