ANC Photo for USMC group burial
Hi,
Quite a while ago, you requested a photo for the Group Burial at Arlington National Cemetery for a USMC WWII crew lost on a plane crash 4/22/44 -- that stone, Section 60 Site 10127, was finally put in place this month (5 years after the burial). Photos of their stone are on each of their memorials -- Donovan, Ekstam, Erickson, Lallathin, Sisney, Vincent, and Yeager.

Thank you for your patience!

RE: PFC William R. Steele
You are welcome to use the picture. It was from a September 1944 Greensboro Daily News article that I found and copied using a microfilm reader at our local library. (Not sure of the exact date).

Regards,

Barbara Burt

Hello! I am about to fulfill your photo request but unfortunately, there is no permanent marker in place yet. The usual Jewish custom is for a marker to be placed one year after burial. He is next to his brother.

Since the earliest a marker will be placed is next October, all I can suggest is that you put in another photo request at that time.

Best regards,
B.J.

Every strange. It still shows as an x in a tiny box with IE11. The photo appears fine using Chrome and Firefox. Oh well. We tried.

Richard Rusher
You have made a photo request for Richard Rusher in Green Mount Cemetery, CHESTER County.

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=rusher&GSiman=1&GScid=44976&GRid=116749168&

This entry is misplaced, as he already exists in Green Mount Cemetery in YORK County.

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=rusher&GSiman=1&GScid=44990&GRid=89218283&

The veteran's burial card says York County & the tombstone images are already on the York one.

Therefore, it will be impossible to fulfill your photo request in Chester County.

New St. Peter is a very large cemetery. In the past, I have waited two and three months for responses to my inquiries as to locations of graves. This will go a lot faster if you call the cemetery directly and ask for the information as a relative. If you will provide a Section and Plot number for Ernest Tykarski, I will be happy to go over and take a picture. The phone number for St. Peter's is 203-743-9626. Thank you.

PFC Joseph Dill Jr.
I'm writing you concerning your Find A Grave posting for Joseph Dill Jr.. About a year and a half ago his niece asked me to create a Find A Grave page for him. We grew up together in Hillside. She was supposed to supply me with photos and we were going to go to the cemetery to take photos of his grave. I checked on Find A Grave and there was no page already for him. Yesterday she was finally able to travel up to North Jersey(She's disabled and has been ill) and we were able to get to the cemetery.
After creating the page she sent the link to the rest of the family and maybe an hour later she called me that there were 2 pages. When I search I found that you had created a page last January.
I commend you for the work you did in making all the posts you have done for the 24th Marines. I'm asking you to consider deleting your Joseph Dill Jr. page so the family can have the ability to add to and edit the page. Find A Grave does audits of pages and does not allow for duplicate pages for the same person.

Thank you for your consideration and thank you for the work you have done on making the posts you have done. I know how much research and time it takes to do what you have accomplished..........................Jack Mandy

I see that Ray's name may be on the Tablets of the Missing. Do you have a photo of this tablet? I tried to find one but couldn't. I was wondering if another of our Iwo Jima Veterans names was on it as I think it should be. The name is Armand Robidoux.
Thanks,
Marianne
