Hi Charlott - Hope you are well. I just talked with my grandmother and confirmed she and her siblings were all born in Portland, Oregon. That is why I sent you the edits for Adrienne and Merwin. Thank so much.

RE: Dintha Hill Jenkins
Charlott - I also have Sarah Jane Reed Hill's transcript of her story of the 1843 wagon train. The Oregon Historical Society has the original. In this she mentions Diantha being 6 weeks old when they are on the Columbia around Cascade Falls.

RE: Dintha Hill Jenkins
Hi Charlott. The info I have from family history is that Diantha was born at Burnt River before they actually got to the Gaston, Oregon area in November. I found this site that has some good info. http://www.oregonpioneers.com/1843trip.htm

As far as Diantha and Thomas I have been very curious about that as well. I wonder if she might have been ill or if they just separated. In looking at various census records it appears some of the children were with Thomas at least part of the time. Two of their young girls are buried in Washington at Maryhill. Are you related to Diantha? She was my 3rd great aunt. Her sister Tryphena was my 2nd great grandmother.

So are you connected to the Hewitt tree somehow? Ann's brother Isaiah had a son Cyrus. Cyrus married a cousin of mine. That is my connection.

Merging of memorial pages
Sorry you took my two messages wrongly. I didn't accuse you of anything; I was simply asking you if you knew anything about the mergers.

I think a better way for you to have answered my concerns would have been, "I know nothing of the mergers. I agree, findagrave should be notified of this problem that we both have."

Since neither of us understands how our pages got merged, then findagrave owes both of us an answer. If you don't care to find out how this gets resolved, I won't contact you again.

Best wishes, and thanks for all your many contributions to findagrave.

Lambertje Roelfse Seubering Stryker 51768353
Once again, I'm shocked that my earlier memorial page for Lambertje Roelofse Seubering Strycker 933580752, created before your memorial page 51768353, was merged with your page, without my knowledge or permission.

There was information on my original memorial page which didn't get "merged" with your memorial page.

Do you have an explanation for this? It's always been my understanding that someone's earlier page on a particular ancestor always took precedence, with anyone wanting to add to it would contact the first submitter for the first submitter to make the changes. As it is now, I get credit for none of my work on your page(s). This is only my second discovery of this issue, and I'm wondering if there are more.

Please contact me directly so we may resolve this issue. We may need to get the findagrave administration involved, which I am willing to do.

Most sincerely,

Larry P. Cornwell

Jan Gerritse Stryker 51768202
I was shocked to see that my memorial page on Jan Strycker (1614-1697), 33581628, created in 2009, was merged with your memorial page created on Apr 29, 2010. I did not give my permission for this.

What a loss! My memorial page ran many printed pages, and it will take some work to reconstitute those lost pages.

Was this merging done beyond your control? If this was within your control, why didn't my entire memorial page get merged?

Please contact me directly at lacornwell@aol.com so we may mutually resolve this issue.

Thank you.

Yes, that would be fine to send, I'll add it. If it's not too lengthy and it's an actual newspaper obit you can add it to the photo section if you wish. Up to you. Thanks and regards, Nadeen

William H. Wiers # 66749694
Hi Charlott,
Looking over the info on William Wiers' memorial I noticed in the obituary Michael added, William was born in 1853. Information given to me by you states he enlisted in the military in 1862, which would make him 9 years of age. Could you please recheck your information to see if it is correct. Possibly a wrong William Wiers?

Incorrect information for #178560490
You made a memorial for my Mother under a name which is not her's. The only reason I was able to figure out this was my Mom is that she was listed under this name in my sister's memorial. And the date of death is not accurate. It was my Mother's dying request to keep her death private with no obit or death notice. Whoever you are I really don't appreciate you making a memorial page for my Mom, which goes against her wishes. Please transfer her memorial to me immediately #178560490.

Ruthless
RE: Ruthless
I have spent countless hours researching the people for most of my memorials. I apologize because life got in the way and I accidentally entered a bunch of names before I was able to finish my research. My work has been praised and I have helped people in ways you couldn't possible understand. This was my passion and full time "job". I can't believe how much one asshole's comment, who has no idea about who or what I am about, could hurt so bad. And by the way, my name is "Ruthless" because my middle name is Ruth and it was a childhood nickname. Why be such a jerk? Really? I'm so close to ending it lately and your lovely words just add to pushing myself over that cliff, thanks. I guess I won't have to worry about anyone duplicating my memorial with you on top of it! Have a nice life.

Thrane & Hirsch Familes
No,I am not related to the Thrane & Hirsch Families. I like to walk the New Ulm City Cemetery & randomly take gravestone photos & then look up obits in the old newspaper archives. If you are related I can transfer the memorials to you. Otherwise I am willing to look up info in New Ulm. MN if you have some questions about the family members buried in the New Ulm cemeteries.
