Have you heard of a copyright law that you cannot post obits to memorials? I was told that on my page. I see them posted all the time.

Hi....I just added a photo of his obit to his memorial. I'm going through some old newspapers my grandmother had and I'm making copies of them.

He is buried at Pleasant Grove.

Samuel E. McMichael
My parents, paternal grandparents, and my paternal grandfather's parents (my great-grandparents)are buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Ringgold.

I am trying to find out the parents of my great-grandfather Samuel E. McMichael (1864-1933)who is one of those buried there. I understand from census records that (A) he was born in Arkansas, (B) his father was born in Pennsylvania and (C)his mother was born in Georgia or Alabama. If anyone could help I would appreciate that.

Also, if anyone has a photo of his headstone, could you please let me know? If nobody has one, I will take a picture this summer, when I am there, and upload it here.

Thank you

RE: Newton King Bradie Pate
I will be happy to transfer his to you. Next time, on the memorial page, click on "transfer request". The message I get will have their memorial number as well as your contributors number. This way I won't have to go searching. Thanks.

RE: McGraw Tombstone
It's easy to miss, coming from Jamestown, turn left as if you're going to Gibsland, then about a 1/4 mile down the road, you'll see a small sign on the left that points across the road to Sailes Firetower Rd,and it says 'Mt. Olive Church & Cemetery'.Just go to the end of that road and there it is.And thanks, after spending two very hot days in that cemetery,(I almost passed out from the heat the first day,I remembered to bring Gatoraid the next day!),it's good to know that people appreciate the effort.I also try to make my pictures look as good as possible,I enjoy photography very much, and i edit my photos to try to get them to look thier best.i still don't know how to reduce the sizes in photoshop,so I have to load them all onto photobucket and resize them that way.Anyhoo,I'm going to post a few more, then call it a night, and start all over again tomorrow!

RE: McGraw Tombstone
Henry could be the other unknown then.I've never seen any records of the cemetery,I don't even know who I would go about contacting for any records of it.I just live near it,and wanted to make sure all the graves were posted and had headstone pictures.I've always liked that little cemetery, very peaceful and isolated.Always makes me want to reconcider being buried at Ebenezer with the rest of my family!

RE: McGraw Tombstone
Libbie, the contributor who listed them all, also listed a Henry McGraw, was that her husband?Because I took photos of every stone in the cemetery and I never saw a Henry McGraw listed on any of the stones.
