McCartt Cemetery/Glenmary
When I added some memorials , could not find Cemetery and knew it was Glenmary , so I added
it. Have found out that there is only one McCartt Cemetery Glenmary, and it is now McCartt Cemetery Robbins. I have already moved my memorials att to their proper cemetery and thought you would like to know, so you could move yours also.

the cemetery information is to important to leave behind so I am coping and paste to each memorial I have in that Cemetery.
Thank you for your time and let me know if you have a question.
My I am on your friends list.

The memorial above is the original memorial for
Emma Evelyn McCartt, just found mine as a duplicate and I am deleting it. You may want to put the picture you had there on the original memorial #. Very sorry for inconvience and thank you for your contribution to Find A Grave

RE: Brown/ hamby family
Oh Deb,
You have made my day girl.
Dora Brown Hamby raised my mom (Jeanette & her sister Edna)after the death of my grandmother (Carrie Sherrill Hamby)just a few days after mom's birth.
Dora's son (Joseph Edward Hamby)-my grandfather was just a young man when my grandmother (Carrie died from Toxemia). He chose (unwisely) to live his life without any consideration of his girls. They both suffered for this.
My mom worshiped the ground her grandparents walked on. My grandfather would not allow mom to go to school, so her grandmother taught her everything she knew. I have so many stories.
Let's stay in contact.
Where do you live? I am in Spring Hill, Tn.

Cuz Julie

RE: Sarah Ann Tompkins Goad
I have added the Goad Cemetery and the info that I have. I mentioned that a sister of Sarah Ann's was buried here. It was a sister of her husband that I was thinking about (Elizabeth Goad).

Sarah Ann Tompkins Goad
She isn't buried in the Mt Helen Cemetery. She is buried in the Goad Cemetery (which is abandoned and on private property in Armathwaite). There is a headstone that was placed on the grave by one of her grandsons and great grandsons probably in the 1970s. Before that, there was a little house with a metal roof on the grave. One of William Goad's sisters is buried there with a headstone that was still readable the last time I was there(2008). Supposedly, William Goad's mother is also buried there.

Jacob Barnette's stone
Jacob Barnette's stone is hard to read. I could make out Jacob & he was between 2 other Barnette's. I didn't have chalk with me Sunday, nor pencil & paper for a rub, just hoped the photo would help me make out more. I made out enough to be confident it's his stone. :-)Wish I'd had bug repellent too :-)

Worcester Peters
Hi, You set up a memorial for a Worcester Peters on for Mt. Vernon Cemetery. You have also added a photo of his headstone and that he died in Illinois. I am trying to find out what would be your source of his death in Illinois. I called the Illinois State Archives that has access to Vital Records death index site and there is no death for a Worcester Peters or even close to that first name in the whole state of Illinois. I also called Tennessee there is no death recorded for him in the whole State of Tennessee for the year of 1939 as his headstone shows that he died in that year. So can you please tell me how you came up with him dieing in Illinois please. If you actually got that off of someone's ancestry account please do remove Illinois as he did not die in Illinois and the State law required for a death to be recorded at that time according to the State Archives. I would appreciate your help in this matter. Thanks Carolyn Gutermuth

RE: Winchester Cemetery, Fidelity, ky
Hello Deb, Sounds resonable about winchester cemetery. The location is very remote and not well cared for. Most of the graves are unmarked on marked with blank field stones. I would be glad to send you google earth location of the cemetery.

I am afraid that you won't be able to find much info at the cemetery, as it is so old. But it is a beautiful place to visit. Fidelity is not a community of people and was once a mining camp.
