Hi, Carole.

Sorry, I just now saw your comment from Saturday on my profile. Someone I missed the notification.

Anyway, thanks again for the comments. I was just going over that branch of the family, and I see that your step-sister Pat is my 5th-cousin-twice-removed. :-)

Happy Autumn & Thanksgiving,
John

RE: Helpers
Thanks for the quick response. I guess maybe I am the Last Name police. :) I periodically go through recently added memorials that appear with no last name. It's usually easy to get them corrected quickly because the contributor is active -- like you are. I understand your frustration with duplicates. I'm currently dealing with one contributor who makes endless duplicates and doesn't respond to edits. I hate to have to bother the Admins with the merge requests but I think that's all that can be done. Good luck with your project.

Hey, Kristina! I was following up this morning on Find A Grave transfers, edits, etc. Found one where I requested that you transfer Isaac Heller to me. When I clicked on the link to Isaac, it shows me as creator! How in the world did that happen? Do you remember? The original request was made 10/15/15.

I got a chance to read your profile bio. I'm amazed at all you have done/are doing for genealogy. Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

Hi Carole,
I believe it was YOU that created the memorial and ME that asked to have it transferred (to myself), since this is one of my direct ancestors.

Thanks in Advance,

Re: Sparks Cemetery
Hi Carole - no, I didn't create the cemetery. It has been on here for a while with 600+ memorials. I'm not sure Star City exists anymore, at least not as an incorporated place. IIRC it's not listed on any map sites.

Hi, I added a photo of the marker for Jane Lichtenberg, I also have a photo for her husbands (John G Lichtenberg 1878-1943) if you would like that. Thanks, Dave

Louis Antrobus
Carole,

Sorry, I'm not a direct descendant.

If you come up with more information regarding additional marriages that should be added to Louis' bio, please let me know and I'll be happy to do so.

Hope you enjoy your family reunion.

Ernest Beneke
According to Illinois state, Jersey County records, and his obituary, Ernest was buried at Scenic Hill. His wife and son also buried at there.

The other memorial has the wrong date, wrong cemetery, and wrong county. Same person? Hard to know for sure with that many mistakes. I have no idea where they got their information.

I searched the whole cemetery at Scenic Hill, and there is no stone for Ernest or his wife.

RE: Runyon photos
You're most welcome. Another problem these cemeteries have is that they're not using any form of electronics in their business, which they should. After all, it's 2015. Many cemeteries in Chicago actually have kiosks that visitors can use to look up their loved ones without having to bother the workers.

that would be good. It may not be the same guy, but without any dates, I thought it was a good candidate.

According to the records there is a tombstone and I will go searching this massive cemetery soon. I wanted to touch base though because the record had other info then just the location and I wanted to make sure you had it.

You might not remember me. Several years ago you took a photo of my g-grandfathers tombstone in Mt Vernon IOOF Cemetery in Lawrence County, MO. At the time you said he was buried next to James M Harris. I recently found that Henry's second wife was Mrs. Laura Harris (we never knew he had a second wife). So she had both husbands buried side by side and the mystery is solved! I can't find her though.

RE: Carolyn Bost
Hi Carolyn,

I live about an hour and a half away from that cemetery. I was probably there to photograph a different headstone and took some volunteer photos while I was there. I doubt if I'll be in that area again anytime soon. Sorry.
