Thank you
Thank you for your selfless service. Find-a-grave memorials 70300 and 70301 were very valuable to me in a very personal way. My family is very appreciative.

If you're still interested please contact me at This would require some shallow digging that I think I should get permission for.

Lot F/49 contains no separate marker for Caroline Tremaine. I have a photo of the large marker there, so email if you'd like that.

Birth: Nov. 10, 1805
Centre County
Pennsylvania, USA
Death: Dec. 18, 1875

Husband of Elizabeth or Isabella Neil.

I have this person as listed but the headstones shown don't fit. Also he wasn't buried in Red Oak.
Perhaps the stones do belong there. Still checking

Miranda, may I use the photo you supplied of Carl McKenzie's headstone? He was my mother's cousin. I would like to post this on my family tree web site.

William Bortle
I was at Mt View and seen you had a request. I placed the picture on his memorial. There was another Bortle there so I also photographed that as well not sure if they are related or not. Alice C. Bortle 1849-1932 did the memorial.

Hello Miranda,
I claimed your photo request, and will try to find and photograph it soon.
I did want to point out to you that there are two different listings for that cemetery, one someone started in error. You will want to change your new memorial over to "Memorial Park Cemetery" IF you mean the large cemetery inside the city of Oroville. The other one (listed as just Memorial Park) shows no address or map on FindAGrave, and I can't find another listing in Butte County with that name. I think it was a duplicate made in error. There are only a handful of names listed there, 6 by the same person.
Hope this helps.

George Harrington
Hi Miranda,

I need some info on George. I went to the cemetery and they told me that they couldn't find him buried there, but that doesn't mean anything right now. I need to know where you got your info on him? Do you have a obit anywhere? I am going to call them again tomorrow morning 12/18/2010 to find out more about them. I went today and they said that he wasn't buried in this cemetery. I do want to go in there and tell them that this person is there. Please let me know asap so when I call tomorrow morning, I can have some amo.

Re: Lucy Aldridge
I have not been able to find out if she was married, widowed or what. Any info about the Aldridge's you can help me with would be great, here is what I have now, Look at the 1900 records shows Jasper Tomblin, this is my grandfather, William Jasper Tomblin. If we are kin I have a lot of info. on his family, I would love to share with you.
Thank you
Debbie Martin

Believe this ties in the Aldridge surname...but it still doesn't answer the question of Lucy's maiden name. Possibly Tomblin was her maiden name given the cemetery info. You should try for the death certificate but keep in mind that mistakes are frequent since the info is furnished by informants rather than the individual.

Couldn't definitely locate Lucy on the 1880....and of course William Jasper died before the Social Security system began. However, did find Warren's S/S and you can order a copy of his application form ($27). It should list his mother's maiden name.

Social Security Death Index:
Warren Aldridge b.2/20/1898 d.9/1975, last residence Lindale in Smith County OK, S/S#442-12-9137 issued OK before 1951.

Happy Searching!

Lenora Aldridge
I'm sorry I was wondering if you had other info on Lucy A Aldridge buried in the same cemetery. As she is my Great GreatGrandma. She was the one that was married before to Joseph W Aldridge.
Do you have any info on who Lucy Aruella Tomlin (not Tomblin like her son) Aldridge was married to before Joseph W Aldridge, as my Grandfathers last name is Tomblin.
Thank you for any help you can give me

I noticed the picture you took says In Memory of David Alma Losee, thi is David Gilbert's Father. Is there something else on the stone that states David Gilbert or his death date ?

Gentis Graves
There are two cemeteries near Home, WA. The one I think that the graves are in is located at the cemetery near Key Peninsula Highway North and
Cornwall Road KP South. This location is south of Home and north of Lakebay. When driving south on KP Highway N go through the town of Home and take a left at Cornwall Road. Drive about 300 or so yards to where the road curves and there should be a church there where the cemetery is. Hopefully the graves are there but there is another cemetery at Longbranch which is less likely to be the right one.
