Do you or anybody else have any info on the family of this Benjamin Harkrider? Im looking for info on my 4th great grandfather Benjamin Harkrider the thing is my family tree says according to the 1830 census of indiana there was Harkerody, Harkrody, Harkrider, Harkrader. I dont have much info other then my Benjamin had a daughter named Sarah and Sarah married John Earegood and had 3 kids Elizabeth, John C. & William H. Earegood. If you have any suggestions or know a Harkrider (variant spelling's) family genealogist please let me know.

I follow the Sinnard line to 'my' PAGE line. James F. Page was Ida E. McMillan's first wife before she married John Perry Harkrader. Do you when in 1906 Mamie L. Culbertson Harkrader died and where in Ohio? I lack those data points.

|Bill Porter||John Harkrader|
Gail - I think the grave stone you posted on Find-A-Grave is my ancestor but I have him married to Ida E. Millen and you show his spouse as someone else. Did John's first wife die and then he remarried? John and Ida are together in the 1940 Federal Census and they were getting up there in years.

|coan.net||Sarah McMullen - Floral Hill Cemetery|
Just fulfilled the photo request for Sarah McMullen in Floral Hill Cemetery in Iroquois County, Illinois.
It is currently unmarked, and uploaded a couple overview pictures showing the lot.
In the records, there are no other "McMullen" in the cemetery, but I did find:
Giles W. Harkrider d. July 22, 1895 - Also in the same Block 3, Lot 161 (so it would also be unmarked.)
I do not believe he is on Find A Grave yet, so feel free to add him. Feel free to request a photo if you would like me to add the same "overview" pictures of the lot to his memorial if you want.

Thank you for the correction. I double checked the burial records and see that I transcribed it incorrectly. I also found him on the 1930 census, as you indicated.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I must have been in a hurry. I have corrected the entry for Samuel G. Buswell. Have a look. The picture is from a photo I have of Samuel and his brother John and sister Rose together. I descend from Rose.

|David Sifford||Siffords in Virginia|
Hi Gail: Thank you for your kind words and you are more than welcome. Chances are, any Sifford you see may be related in some way. My family came from North Carolina but passed thru Virginia getting there. My mom's side came from Virginia. If you know of any Whitt's, that also part of my family. Let me know if i can be of anymore help. David

I am glad you like the photos. Yes, the family plot is very promenent and beautiful. It seems you have Doctors with in your family which have helped build MCkendree College to what it is today. If you would like I can send you the hardcopies of the grave sites. Right now I am trying to find people in the Pennsylvania area but if I come across anyone in Virginia I will let you know. If you need anything else don't hesitate to ask.

|Barbara Blum||Rebecca Harkrider|
You could be right. When I photographed Sunnyside, Rebecca's picture was next to Elijah's. I think I had some doubt that she was his wife because of the age difference. I am going back to Sunnyside in a couple of weeks & one of the things on my "to do" list is to check on this. Meanwhile, I have added Rebecca to findagrave. If I find out she's not a Harkrider, I'll get it fixed. Sorry about the confusion.
