ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

Peter Sronce
I am very sorry but there is no grave marker for Peter Sronce at Fairmount Cemetery. Last year I completed taking pictures of the entire cemetery of all graves where the stones were readible at all. The picture added was the general area where he is buried - the official records mark it as "W" which stands for white. You might call Mr. Weaver at the City Cemetery office to inquire further. RE: Kuhns Cemetery
Michael,

No, I'm not familiar with that one. I haven't done too much in Washington county.

There's a way you can add the cemetery to Find-A-Grave, but I've never added one. I think it's done at the memorial creation level. If you add a memorial for your distant Scronce kin and say they're buried in Kunn's Cemetery, it should give you the option to add the cemetery to the database.

Peter Sronce
Your request for a better picture for the grave of Peter Sronce was sent to me and I truly wish I could get you a better picture. The problem is he is listed on the official record at Fairmount as buried in the section marked "W". This stands for White. This cemetery was established in 1882 and has about 9,508 spaces. Many of these spaces are not marked and some had markers but were destroyed for one reason or another. I took pictures of this entire cemetery last year and when there was no specific grave, I placed a picture of the general area where that person was buried. So I am sorry your request cannot be fulfilled by me. Others are welcome to try to find his grave or you might check with Mr. Weaver in the city cemetery office to see if they can find it.
