Is the Charles S. Hopper (1932-2010) the one that was married to Annabell M. Deshazer? (she also had 3 or 4 other marriages). You can contact me at WaltSteesy@aol.com. Thanks.

RE: winkle/mcbee/?
Thanks for getting back to me. I haven't been on the property for maybe 20 years. My father sold the land to someone named Hodgson around 1990. I asked that family a couple times, years ago, if I could visit the sites. As stated in the Elizabeth M. McBee write up at findagrave, the current owners are pretty much against visitors.
McBee is on top of the large butte. findagrave maps places the Winkle plot on the small butte, and the Irwin plot at the base of the small butte, at one time visible from the highway.
The person who wrote the E.M. McBee info reported, "visitors are not welcome", and the current owners credit the missing/destroyed Winkle site headstones to cattle owned by the previous owner.
My father had cattle. When I first moved there(circa 1969), there was one upright and one low block headstone, one or two stones leaned against trees, and several(6-8?) obvious burial depressions. The upright was wiley winkle(I remember being struck by how young he was, and the lamb in hands engraved at the top of the stone), and I strongly remember the low block having an 18th century birth date. I may be mistaken.
The cemetery nearest the highway(Irwin?)is overgrown, but contains a tall red granite stone with two names on it, and the casement of the casket has broken the surface.
It may sound odd, but these buttes were my playground and the stones were companions I visited regularly. It saddens me to think these graveyards/historic sites are unappreciated and allowed to degrade, but it is someone else's property and all turns to dust eventually.
And yes, I wish I could be there again. tj

winkle/mcbee/?
I lived on the property containing the Winkle and McBee cemeteries. McBee is on the large butte, there is a cemetery that used to be visible from the highway(99w) at the base of the small butte(Winkle?), and there were scattered graves over the upper portion of the small butte. Is there a name for the area of scattered graves or info on the persons buried there? The headstones have been missing for years, although they were there when I was young.

J. W. Pendergraft
I see you now have his memorial. Can you please copy the obituary so you can add it to the correct memorial; I think it looks tacky to add an obituary to the photo section. I am going to have to delete the wrong memorial soon.

Thanks

J. W. Pendergraft
What a mess! I corrected the Jr. since there wasn't a Sr. Took off the John as husband to Mary Alice(the death certificate has her birth day as 12, not the 4th).

Ray & Pat need to type the obit that is posted on John Sr. into James W's bio. When I delete John's it will be gone. I will give them a couple days to type it, then I will delete it. I have so many to take care of, if I put it off too long, I will forget it. FYI, Jody is a man.

James Wesley Pendergraft
I linked Mary Alice Bynum Pendergraft to the proper husband. However she was not linked to the wrong one from this end. You will have to write to the creators (Ray & Pat) of James Wesley and ask them to delete the link. At the same time you can ask for a transfer or just delete the wrong link when you get his memorial.

Thanks for letting me know.

RE: Pendergraft family-Roller Cemetery
My Pleasure. I feel like part of the "Roller" family. There are many more Pendergrafts in my files, and will wrap it all up early next week, and send them to you. I have reg. definition as well as high of most. Please feel free to use them any way you like. I also have pics of the other 2 sides of Biddy and Margaret Jane's stone, as well as all 4 of the "Children of" stone. Will send those to you, maybe you can manipulate the pic with your program more successfully. Feliciana

Rachel Yadon Mayes
Hi! I am a relative of Rachel Yadon. She & my great-grandmother were sisters (Matilda Elmina Yadon Colson, died Greene County MO. If I read right, you would be a great-grandson maybe of hers & Spencer Proctor Mayes. I find the "Proctor" interesting, as that was Rachel's fathers name. If it is the same Yadon family & I think it is. If so, I have a picture I would like to send you to see if you reconginze it. We think it is either Rachel or a sister, Rebecca Gastineau. Both lived in Hamilton area.

Hoppers from NC
I am a descendant of William Hopper, who was a son of Charles Hopper Sr. I have been given names but very few dates prior to Charles Sr. I have proofs from William and brother Charles Jr. and their descendants. I am looking for anyone who is a descendant of William David Hopper Sr b.1650, his son William David Jr 1680-1766. I am told William David Jr. mar. Elizabeth Freeman. Also down that line there is Thomas Darby Sr 1733-1821 who married Mary Rebecah Morgan. Are you familiar with this family? Also, are you familiar with any Hoppers who moved to Canada before the Am. Rev. War? If you are connected to this family of Hoppers, I would really like to share information. email me at calongley@wtconnect.com. My Hopper line went from NC to GA to TX.
Thanks, Charlotte Hopper Longley

Florence Bryan
Hi--I just added a copy of the death certificate for Florence Bryan (35446271). I am not related, I am just adding copies of Linn County, Oregon death certificates (1903-1959). The death date isn't the same as what you have, but the rest of the information matches. If you would like me to e-mail you a copy, I would be happy to do so. Diana
