Northwest Suburban Genealogy Society
Edits
Our genealogy society has made a project of editing information at St. Paul's in Mt. Prospect. Mostly it is added the gravestone location. A few times it's correcting a mis-spelling or adding a photo. You probably can see that I've been doing alot of this in the last day or two. I'm hope you'll accept them. If you have any questions, you can contact us. Thanks so much for all the work you do for Find A Grave.

Article from the Abilene Daily Reflector, Abilene, Kansas, 15 September 1888 reads...

BROTHER AND SISTERS DROWNED

Carey, Illinois, September 15 - Walter Grantham, a salesman of Chicago, and his two sisters were drowned here today by the capsizing of a boat from which they were fishing on the Fox River.

Hi Wendy,

Family names that surround Mrs. Gosch are Kratka, Carson, Howard, Robinson and Long. Familiar? I have yet to learn of those that are unmarked and will keep you posted.

Gosch, Anna M.

Hi Wendy,

Anna is indeed buried at Mountain View! She is resting next to unmarked graves...will look into who is buried in them. Otherwise, there are no familiar surnames when comparing census information. Do you have an idea as to who Anna traveled/living with in Los Angeles?

Wanda

I am posting a temporary photo that I am not happy with and replace on Saturday. Just wanted to give you confirmation of her burial.

May I use the grave marker photo that you contributed to the Find A Grave Memorial page of Christopher Dickenson, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)

You will receive credit for this.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sander(s) family
Thank you for your work on this family. I was stumped until I found your biography on Louis August Sanders.
Have you noticed that there are not only duplicates but even triplicates in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Cook County? I sometimes try to clean up duplicates but I'll leave this to you. Perhaps you have already tried.

Thank you for the offer to transfer Elaner but she is a distant cousin. I am not eager to collect all my cousin's memorials but appreciate you adding information to her memorial.

Thank you much,

Andrew and alleah cooke

Hi Wendy
I live in the rock of gibraltar and while visiting my father's grave l have been stopping by a 10 year old girl dorothy cooke toomstone who died on board the steamer carpithia in 1913 whilst the ship was in the bay of gibraltar and it seemed to me to be a bit sad for her to be alone so far away from home and by the words on her stone l can tell how distraught the must hzve been and this has led to my searching to see what became of her family and l can see that they died not long after her, l feel that the only service l can do young Dorothy apart from my saying hello to her as l pass her grave every week is to report her resting place here in the sunshine and if required l can send photos of her stone

Yours

Hi Wendy,

Thank you for your work to archive all of the headstones you have done. I noticed a typo on the transcription of memorial # 68204788. The year of death should be 1951 instead of 1961. I confirmed it with his Social Security death index and it matches what the stone says, 1951. Thank you!

RE: Homeyer Memorials
Thanks Wendy I have no problem regarding Sophia and William...please feel free to move the photos of their memorials. Friedrich is the one with bio, and there isn't a duplicate. I will transfer his to the descendant for maintenance. After all takes place I will remove Sophia/William. Thanks for all you do in recording memorials. It is an extremely valuable tool for a family researcher.

Sorry about the repeat of my earlier message. Don't know how that happened either. Audrey
