Kathy, It appears that my grandmother Ruth Kroelinger Mull Dempsey was the daughter of Hubert Kroelinger. BRother of Elnathan Kroelinger and mother of Elnathan Mull who died in the Phillipines and is buried in the American Cemetery in the Phillipines. He was a prisoner of war. Ruth was married a few times but I can't find any info, My father, Clelland Mull had siblings Evelyn, M. Wilson Mull, Jeanne Mull. I have found info on everyone but Ruth. Have you come across that name. I believe she died sometime in the early 70s or late 60s. Thank you. Barbara Mull Brockmeyer

Hi Kathy - you are very welcome. We didn't realize that William Kanies was Elizabeth Alder's first husband. We went back to Sylvan Abbey this morning and sure enough - there he was right beside Elizabeth. Don't know how we missed him the other day. We will be posting the photos of his grave shortly.
Have a wonderful day - and thank you for all your kind words.

I am new to genealogy and am curious about the note about her divorce. Can you give me some background where that came from? Her memorial # is 166912576 and the cemetery is Skull Valley. I am Joseph Gerace's great niece - never met either of them and as far as I know, they never had any children. My email is.

Thank you for your anticipated help!

Cole Owen
Dallas City Cemetery

You posted a photo of Charity Bates Owen - is she of your line by chance?
I believe her husband, Ransom Owen, is potentially a brother of my direct line ancestor Reuben L. Owen/s also buried in Dallas cemetery - as are a sister and two nephews. Trying to chase distant cousins - thought you might be one!
direct email is, cole dot owen at sbcglobal dot net.
Thank you,

You are welcome... its been very rewarding, even if I don't find a marker. I enjoy looking for the requests and its fascinating the things I do and don't find!

I'm sorry that I couldn't find a marker for you but at least I could find the grave location and give the conclusion that I came to.

Ever since I switched over to Windows 10, there seems to be an incompatibility with those transfer records and Find A Grave when trying to enlarge the photo. I've uploaded about 25-30 since last week, they're added o.k. to the memorial, but, as you know, they all don't enlarge. I'll experiment some more but ......
If you send me your email address, I can forward John Duchand's transfer as an attachment. My e-address is on my profile.

Hubert Kroelinger - Find A Grave Memorial# 79220750
Just another question/comment about Hubert Kroelinger now that I've been doing more digging ---his original name SEEMS to me to be "Reuben." It's Reuben Kroelinger in the 1880 census (in Buena Vista Twp, Atlantic Co. NJ; parents Adam and Emily) and "Ruben" in the 1900 census (Middlesex, NY; wife Mary E. and children Ruth and Elnathan.)

First time I found the name Hubert Kroelinger is in the 1905 NY State census.

There is no Hubert when Reuben is around, and no Reuben when Hubert is around...

Are you familiar enough with this family's history to know the reason for the name change or confirm that this is the same person?

Hubert Kroelinger - Find A Grave Memorial# 79220750
Hi Kathy,

I am researching the Kroelinger family for distant cousin that is a descendant of Hubert Kroelinger and Mary Meade. In 1900 census, it says Hubert and his mother were born in Switzerland, his father born in Germany. In 1930 census, it says that Hubert and his parents were born in Switzerland. But you seem to have more knowledge of the family than what I can find online...if you wouldn't mind sharing info with me, my e-mail is:

Thanks! Cindy

I posted photos of the gravesite. The cemetery office was having a computer issue and couldn't look up if there was a headstone that got buried with time. I will check back with them.

You're welcome. I'm sorry it wasn't a better picture, but that darn sunlight/shade. I also took a picture of his wife, Roxelene #66825245, on the other side of the stone in the sunlight and it's much more readable.
